According to Lisa Bloom, the women and girls of today represent a stark paradox. While American women excel in education at every level, they likewise obsessively focus on celebrity media. While women outperform their male counterparts in employment in urban areas for the first time in history, they simultaneously spend countless hours staring in the mirror contemplating plastic surgery. Lisa Bloom fears that women are in danger of spiraling into a nation of dumbed-down, tabloid-media-obsessed, reality TV addicts. Too often, they outsource matters to "experts" and in doing so neglect to truly think for themselves. Lisa Bloom has the solution and it involves one simple word: Think.
In this provocative, entertaining, educational, and thoroughly researched book, Lisa outlines the ways that we as a society, and particularly women, have fallen off the intellectual path, and, very specifically, points to how damaging this has been to us on many levels. Lisa shows us the fallout - but she also provides the solutions for "Reclaiming the Brain God Gave You" and seizing back control of your mind and your life. Think is delivered in a no-nonsense manner that will make you laugh, make you question yourself, make you squirm, but, most important, make you start thinking again.

"Very Informative!!!"
I learned a lot and it opened up my mind to many things going on in the world.
When she gave the statistics, that concluded that most women would rather give up being able to read than give up their looks.
To learn more about what's going on in the world, not just what's light and fun in the news.
"Great voice, great personality, great advice!"
I'm now a fan of Lisa Bloom. Her perspective is well explained and her convincing suggestions are enlightening and freeing.
Lisa's style of speaking almost candidly, as if she is talking to a friend is what makes the narrative wonderful.

Read the New York Times and other Pullitzer prize winning books. Although I'm not one who watches television or reads tabloids, I was touched by her description of the dichotomy between Angelina Jolie and the tabloid and "news" portrayal of this incredible woman.
But where is the PDF with her recipes?
"Brilliant!"
Lisa is passionate about the topic and it shows. It's wonderful to hear an intelligent woman talk about a very important issue. It's sad how the world has been dumbed down and how celeb gossip is the most important issue in most women's lives.
This is a woman after my own heart. I'm definitely giving this to my teenaged daughter to listen to.
"Interesting read for the thinking woman"
Yes I would listen to it again because I enjoyed it the first time and I am sure I missed some tips.

Just what I knew and needed to listen to. Have recommended this book to friends already and one purchased and listened too. I love the way this woman thinks and puts her thoughts into words.
