"Excellent narration!"
Yes. My granddaughter (age 3 1/2) absolutely loves this. She laughs so much when she hears the frustration of the character being asked to eat the green eggs and ham against his wishes.
When the one being asked to eat the green eggs and ham finally tastes them and realizes that he really does like them.
Not normally a fan of any of the characters that I've seen Jason Alexander play, I found it quite fansinating how much I enjoyed his narration of this book. He does an absolutely wonderful job, and makes the book a hundred times more interesting than I'm sure any other narrator could.
No, not really.
Children are sure to love this book, and ask to hear it again and again.
"Classic Dr Suess"
The story is a childhood favorite of many. The reading is great, the narrator manages to get Sam's companion's frustrations very well. I wouldn't call the reading brilliant, it sounds much like my mother read to me, and like I read to my daughter. It is certainly effective, though.
Like another reviewer, I was disappointed by the lack of images. I know this is an "audiobook", which generally means "audio," but after seeing a couple other books with the enhanced format and images, I expected something similar from this one. The illustrations are a big part of what makes classic Dr. Seuss classic.
Generally good, but if you are playing this for the entertainment of a young one, I highly recommend putting a paper copy of the book in front of the child to include illustrations.
"Green Eggs and Ham - absolutely enchanting"
I would recommend this to anyone. Of course, Dr. Seuss is a favorite, and I think Jason Alexander did a wonderful job of bringing the characters to life. His narration was perfect, and I have listened to it 10 times already (really, 10 times!), and I am a 27-year old adult with no kids. Just reliving my youth, and Green Eggs and Ham makes me smile every time I listen to it. A perfect 5 minute pick-me-up.

"Wonderful Narration Honors a Classic Book"
If you're on this page, I doubt I need to sell you on Dr. Seuss's work. 'Green Eggs and Ham' is, of course, a classic. Jason Alexander's performance is brilliantly hammy, just as one would expect from somebody reading a kids' book aloud. He reads in distinct voices for Sam-I-Am and the hesitant diner, both perfectly Seussian. I also own the eleven-story "Cat in the Hat" collection, but this is the best Dr. Seuss reading I've heard yet.
"My preschooler's absolute FAVORITE audio book!"
Our whole family has been delighted by this short little audio book. The music and sound effects are perfect - not too sparse, not over the top - and listening to the narration, you will be convinced there are two different actors reading. We most often listen to children's audio books in the car, so there's something of a captive audience. With some of those books, I feel bad subjecting adults and older children to the rendition. Not this one! Occupants of all ages get a chuckle out of this reading of Green Eggs and Ham. Highly recommended.
An avid reader, who also loves to listen.
"A great, classic"
Still a classic and the narration is great.
"Just as great....."
..... as reading the book.
I got this for my young niece to listen to and found I listened more than she did.
Just like Dr. Suess himself the book is great for kids to listen to on car rides.
"Stop everything to listen book"
We all have a favorite Seuss book...but this is by far my daughter's favorite. She can be running around, screaming, jumping and she will come to a complete stop when I start with "I AM SAM". I played this to her on the PC and through the iPod a number of times and she absolutely loves it. She asks for it to be played over it and over it again. A must for me to have on my iPod as emergency entertainment.
"Great starter for little ones"
This was the perfect starter book for my two and a half year old niece. The language seemed to move quickly for her the first time through, but she had really picked it up, repeats the language and requests it all the time. She is hooked - and it's really fun to hear Dr. Seuss read so well...I had forgotten how rythmic and entertaining his language is.
"Disappointed!"
This was sound only. No photos, no words. Didn't hold the kids interest for longer than 3 seconds. Waste of money.
