New York Times best-selling author T.D. Jakes uses inspiration from the Lord’s Prayer to reveal how the act of forgiving - and learning to be forgiven - can lead you to a more joyful, peaceful, and purposeful life.
Forgive and forget. It should be easy to do - so why don’t we do it? The father who wasn’t always there for us. The mother who punished us. The spouse who betrayed us. The children who will leave us behind. Whoever and whatever the source of hurt, there is always a path to forgiveness. But too often, instead of forgiving, too many of us live with resentments and grudges that keep us stuck, robbing us of joy, peace, and purpose.
In Let It Go, best-selling author and pastor to a flock of millions T.D. Jakes shares the wisdom and guidance necessary to release a lifetime of hurt and anger and move on with the joyful business of living.
Revealing the essential secrets to leading an emotionally vital and spiritually healthy life, Jakes gently teaches the art of forgiveness as a daily practice. In order to practice forgiveness, he explains, we must first learn new styles of conflict resolution and new forms of anger management. To that end, he shows you how to recognize offenses when they come, establish boundaries, encourage purity of heart, develop trust, recover from hurts faster, and forgive ourselves for the rest of our lives. As unconditionally loved children of God, he attests, we are all forgiven. Through grace, we can forgive ourselves and the people around us. In this way, says Jakes, we can live a happier and more fulfilled life.

"Essential Wisdom to Keep Moving Forward!"
I recommend this to anyone choosing maturity and a healthier mindset. I especially recommend this audiobook to overcomers who refuse to remain stuck and bitter; desperate to jump off a self-sabotaging treadmill.
In his unique and personable style, T.D. Jakes reminds us that one cannot truly move forward while nursing past wounds --not from others, nor those that may be self-inflicted.
Lots of meat in every bite... Savor each chapter and digest for full nourishment!

I love how Bishop assist his readers in taking an internal analysis of where life has let us down and how the individual is responsible for life after that pain. His voice is firm yet compassionate, filling readers with hope and ambition to be FREE from the bondage of resentment and anger! Yes. Was hanging on every word
Realizing that forgiving someone else is for you, not the other person.
Too many to pick only one.
"A REAL LEARNING EXPERIENCE!!!"
One of the Best Audio Books I've listened to.

His voice is captivating, I didn't get distracted because I wanted to hear what he was going to say next & not miss anything.
Set yourself free!

This book should be kept in your home and shared with your family and friends.
"Awesome!"
A Must Read
When Bishop Jakes said, "Unforgiveness is like you drinking poision and waiting for the other person to die." That is deep!
I have learned that no matter how bad the pain is, you have to forgive and let it go so that God can forgive you for your sins and grant you the desires of your heart.
I would like to thank Bishop Jakes so much for this book. After listening to this I realized that it really does not matter what happened in the past and I need to be thankful that I was allowed to get through it. Now that I have gotten through it. I have let it go and God has already rewarded me for it. Thank you again!
"Forgiveness Should Become Second Nature"
Forgive and Forget
I like how Bishop Jakes talks about the importance of not being jealous of someone's else's journey and how God has a plan for each one of our lives. The audiobook was a good reminder to hear that opportunity comes often, not just once as we are often taught. We should forgive ourselves, the other party and move forward. If we remain open, we will often be granted a second chance to make things better.
I like how he incorporated examples from friends, personal experiences and the bible to drive home the point of forgiving not only ourselves but others.
I never stopped to think about how important it is to apply forgiveness to the people we work with. I usually go home and do my best "to forget about it," not realizing that I'm harboring hurt feelings, anger and resentment; which often not only impact how I interact at work but potentially impacts my personal life. This audiobook has provided new insight on how we should also forgive those we work with, not just family, friends and loved ones.
Bishop Jakes is an awesome teacher!
