What would have made Slangman's Fairy Tales: English to Japanese, Level 1 - Cinderella better?Although I love the concept of a story moving from one language to another ... what I found was the narration was very fast. It was not told in story voice, slow and lyrical, but seemed to be at conversational speed. The other disappointment was the value of minutes for dollars - the audible cost comes out to .71 cents a minute. Not a great value even at a discount.
Would you recommend Slangman's Fairy Tales: English to Japanese, Level 1 - Cinderella to your friends? Why or why not?No. Too fast to absorb and too expensive for the amount of story time on actual tape
How could the performance have been better?It could have been in a slower more lyrical story voice and a more comprehensive telling of Cinderella allowing for more vocabulary repetition and flow.
What reaction did this book spark in you? Anger, sadness, disappointment?Bummed that I spent that much money on the book and glad that I did not purchase the level 2 & 3 books at the same time.
