It happened at the Ball….
Where beautiful but bold Lillian Bowman quickly learned that her independent American ways weren’t entirely “the thing.” And the most disapproving of all was insufferable, snobbish, and impossible Marcus, Lord Westcliff, London’s most eligible aristocrat.
It happened in the garden…
When Marcus shockingly – and dangerously – swept her into his arms. Lillian was overcome with a consuming passion for a man she didn’t even like. Time stood still; it was as if no one else existed…thank goodness they weren’t caught very nearly in the act!
It happened one autumn.…
Marcus was a man in charge of his own emotions, a bedrock of stability. But with Lillian, every touch was exquisite torture, every kiss an enticement for more. Yet how could he consider taking a woman so blatantly unsuitable…as his bride?

I am a big fan of Romance novels and audio books are my favourite for travel to work. I am sad the so FEW are available outside the USA :(
"Yay for the wallflowers"
Love this book in audio and just as much in print. The wallflowers series is such a breath of fresh air for historical romance. The characters are lively and different and don't let the normal restrictions stop them from having a wonderful time.
Lillian and Marcus are easily my favourite couple of the series. They are completely different and manage to find love in each other that makes me sigh every time.
A wonderful romance novel.

"Even better than the first!"
Excellent sequel to "Secrets of a Summer Night." The story of Lillian and Marcus is fantastic! I can hardly wait until the audio versions of the next two books are released. As always, Rosalyn Landor does a phenomenal job with the narration. If you like historical romance, YOU WILL NOT BE DISAPPOINTED!
I love books! Audiobooks take stories to the next level. I'm obsessed with Audible and will try to rate all of my books. Happy Listening! ;)
"On my Top five Historical Romance list...."
I have spent every available minute of the past three days listening to this story and inLOVED it!!! It was much better than the first book in the Walflower series. Lillian Bowman is an untamed American heiress looking for a husband. Marcus Westcliff is a British aristocrat who seems to be uptight and conservative. They really know how to get under each other's skin and push every button. But all the fighting was masking a very powerful passion.
This book is very funny, romantic, with red hot passion and very unexpected situations happening. I don't like to give spoilers but what happens towards the end was a big surprise and gave a lot of curiosity to see how the hero of the next book could possibly be redeemed.
Narration: Rosalyn Landor did an excellent job narrating this book. Very good accents and I could easily distinguish each character. She added so much feeling and intensity to an already good storyline. This audiobook is a must listen!!!
"Totally enjoyed!"
Lillian and Marus who would've thought. Another good story and loved that Simon, Annabel, Evie and St. Vincent were also a part of this. Gotta love the Wallflowers. Rosalyn Landor does the story proud.
“I love all genres of books, however when I listen to audio books as I clean, garden, drive they are better with a lot of heat!
""Love These Characters""
This is the second of Lisa Kleypas's books I have listen to and I thoroughly enjoyed both. I enjoyed Rosalyn Landor's interpretation of the the characters. There were erotic scenes, mystery and danger that I really enjoyed I highly recommend this series to lovers of historical romance.
"A sweet romance"
A simple and sweet romance for those who enjoy the Mills & Boon type of books. Its a bit like a simplified version of Shakespeare's "Taming of the Shrew". Personally though, i dont go for this genre, and bought it because of good reviews and a pleasant sounding sample. Not the right book for me, but I'm sure many others would enjoy it. Good narration.
"Romantaholic"
Storyline was well written, but what I found even more enjoyable was the narrator/storyteller. I have been legally blind since 2003 and have had to give up just about all of my reading. Being a book a day reader this was devastating to say the least! Since then I have been blessed with audiobooks. The first audiobooks I received (from bookstores, friends, and library) were awful. Either monotone or tried too hard using accents and/or voice inflections that were over the top horrible.
I would definitely recommend the entire series. Although the plots are quite similar, stories are well written and well read.
My only problem with Lisa Kleypas books is I have read/listened to them all. This series I have gone through twice. These are some of my "go to" books. Whenever I need to relax my eyes and mind.
"Good romance"
I like the tension between feisty women and the men who love them in spite of it.
"I adore this series!"

Rounders Game
Annabell
This book is good. Not as good as Book 1. Book 3 is so far my favorite.
I never want them to end...
"Must buy!"
I used my credit on another audio, (it was a waste) and I paid for this one. It was worth the cost! This is a great story. Funny and loveable.
