    "Ahhhhh vampires+suspense+action+passion+romance"

Vasilije, a hunky 400 year old powerful vampire that's been a bad ass for hundreds of years and answers to no-one and he's a love em n leave em type that is until he meets Sasa, an empath, who makes a deadly deal with his enemy. Sasa has to get closer to him in order to spy on him and, in return, they will make her dying Mother a vampire.

Unfortunately (or fortunately) they become very very close and that's when loyalties are tested and broken when Sasa has to report back and, of course, Vasilije finds out. It's got a tense plot, murder, likeable and thoroughly nasty characters, double-crossing and an important sub plot that will eventually result in the 8 vampire Sons of Navarus building an Army and going to war.

This starts off as a hard tale but eventually passion, tension, corruption, sex, betrayal, forgiveness and love all play their part to make this an exciting new and very welcome addition for us vampire groupies to get lost in.

Worth a credit? Yes, it was a very enjoyable listen but a word of warning - if you don't like passionate sex scenes or bad language then give this book a miss.

    "Yummy Bad Boy Vampire Story"

What's not to love about Vasilije?! He's Powerful, Passionate, Dark, Mysterious, and a Kickass kind of vamp.! When one of his own is staked, he goes looking for the one who did it. This is where he hooks up with Sasa, an empath, and boy does is that story line interesting. The two of them find some serious passion together, and in his quest for revenge, he finds some things out about Sasa, that are only the beginning of this story. There's good action, suspense, and romance. I look forward to the other seven Sons of Navarus' stories.
The narrator has great male voices, but his female voices need some work differentiating between them.

I have been happily married for 17 years, I have 3 children (12, 14, & 16), and 2 dogs. I am currently working on a 2nd degree. Life is chaotic and stressful, but I wouldn't change it. I am blessed and enjoying my life.

It took me a moment to get through this one. Okay, Sasa, the heroine, was a dimwit. I mean who bargains to make their mother a vampire and has no freakin concept of what that actually means? And then compounds the problem by making additional bargains without thinking it through, really?! And Vasilije is a man-whore (and really Sasa is not too far from it). This one I just didn't get or have more dept. I kept waiting for it to get better or for Sasa to gain common sense, but nope never happened. I will say that the end was a little better than the rest of the book. Just my opinion :)

On a positive note John Lazoro! Wow, he just has a wonderfully deep voice. I loved listening to him. I stayed with the book just because, even if I think Vasilije was a man-whore, Lazoro makes him a deliciously sounding man-whore. :)

    Any additional comments?

I enjoyed this book will the Hot forceful no nonsense Vampire. I found the leading lady a bit weak but hay it was a good enough story. The narrator John Lazaro has a very deep sexy voice that i loved listening to. This is a sexy listen so if you don't enjoy books with hot sex, stay away. :)

    "Just So-So"

I love a good vampire romance. I love male narrators. I love rough language (or "dirty talk"). I love a few hot love scenes. One would think that I would love this book. Sadly, I did not.

I think my biggest issue was the narrator. Though not horrible, he seemed to have only one, fairly shallow, emotion. Not monotone, just always about the same intensity. More bothersome was his perfect, clear, concise diction. Why is that a problem, you say? Well imagine a sentence peppered with some fairly dirty words, but said in a way that made even my jaded ears oddly uncomfortable! Some of those words need to be almost growled out and not spoken like I'm listening to a Rosetta Stone English lesson. Creeped. Me. Out.

As for the story, it was OK. Nothing revolutionary here. A few too many sex scenes, especially in a fairly short 6 hour book. There were a couple of important scenes that seemed to be cut out, or never written, that were just summed up in a couple sentences after the fact. Both scenes involving Sasa's mother. They just seemed oddly absent. Must have gone to make room for more sex, all of which was not particularly exciting or creative.

Also, there is some kind of editing issue, as there were at least 3 places where a sentence repeated, and I rewound and verified it wasn't my device. (It did it on my phone and on my computer in the same places)

If you are voracious for ANYTHING paranormal, then you might like it. Personally, having read the genre for quite a few years now, it was too formulaic for me. I was hoping to start a new series, but I am not likely to pick up the next book based on this first one.
