"The real world is a rough place."
Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?Yes. Bodman writes about threatening situations that really exist and are seldom discussed. Castle Bravo, written a couple of years ago describes a potential global catastrophe which is the subject of a hot new TV series, "Revolution". The series is science fiction. Bodman's story is based on real situations.
What other book might you compare Castle Bravo to and why?If you like good and educational thrillers by the top authors, you will like this one. The author knows her subject well and develops convincing characters.
What do you think the narrator could have done better?The narrator read well, but the voice is irritating to me. I like a deeper voice.
Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?It took about 4 sittings.
Any additional comments?Bodman is an author who will endure. This is her fourth good book.

"Interesting, but..."
The plot moved well and the characters were interesting, but I was irritated by how whiny Samantha was portrayed.

"Boring"
Would you try another book from Karna Small Bodman and/or Basil Sands?The book was boring from the beginning and dragged through. I made it to chapter 17 and couldn't listen any longer. I would not recommend this book.

"Enjoyable Story"
I really enjoyed the Bodman's previous story. I was put off by the terrible narration, but was willing to give her 2nd story a listen. Again, I enjoyed the story, but the narrator is not good. His voices for the women are a caricature, and dilute any strength the character had. I think it says a lot when I'm willing to listen to a bad performance for the sake of a new author.
