Mary B. Morrison, acclaimed New York Times best-selling author of Darius Jones and The Eternal Engagement, proves herself a masterful storyteller with this gripping new novel about an obsessed man and what he will do to make sure he gets the woman he wants.
Madison Tyler thought a man like Granville Washington could fulfill her sexual desires and her need for occasional male companionship. And as the owner of a multimillion-dollar multimedia firm, that’s as much as Madison wants or needs right now.
Granville is desperate to hold on to Madison. The harder she tries to end contact with him, the harder he fights to stay connected to her. She’s captured his heart, and he’ll do whatever is necessary not to let her break it. He knows she doesn’t love him the way he loves her - she’s repeatedly said so - but if she takes time to get to know the man behind the muscles, he’s convinced she’ll agree that they’re perfect for each other. And he’ll do whatever it takes to make her see that.
Mary B. Morrison has joined the ranks of African American women writing about what women of any ethnic group want to read about: how to find - and keep - your soul mate. Her writing style is both excellent and very erotic. She lives in Oakland with her son.

LIFE just happens that way sometimes!
"Story of a stalker"
When I read the book review I wasn't at all interested in the story line it sounded a little boring but I decided to give it a chance anyway. I am in actually glad I had purchased this audiobook because it's nothing like I expected it to be the review doesn't give the book any type of justice. Granville was a fool with the lengths he was willing to go to have the woman that he set his sights on. My favorite character was Loretta and probably because she was the one I can relate to when it comes to being a single mother. The ending had me at the edge of my seat in shock because I am still amazed that the situation led to the end result. I cant wait to read the next book to see what Miss Southern Bell will do next. The main theme to this book should be, what you do in the dark always comes to the light. The Narrators were fantastic and brought the book to life and built the characters into the people you will learn to love or hate. Good book
book diva
"ok i m going to hold out"
it really was a good book kind of surprised it had a lot going on to keep you in it.crazy dude made the story. I didnt like how it ended, she should have just wrapped it up i mean if it was told to me that there is a part two, to this story i would have waited to read the book because i hate cliff hangers.
the ending, I wish she would have wrapped it up.
so many pause's in the book
it better have a follow up book i mean how you gonna leave the book with him on life support, and none of the issues resolved at all, plus it said that there will be one.
i would wait till part 2 to come out because you will be mad at the ending so just wait till part 2 to get here.
"You will really enjoy this audiobook!"
Yes, I would recommend this audiobook because the characters are well developed and the storyline is beast!
The most memorable moment was when one of the main characters got the surprise of her life after making a bet.
It is hard to pick just one. All of the characters were equally good.
I wish I could take them all to dinner, even the crazy ones!
Great author! Highly recommend this book to all!
"Keep me on my toes wanting more!"
Yes, I would listen to If I Can't Have You again because she did not finish out her character story lines. I want to know what happens next.
Not giving the story away, but the two of the always praying together!
The brothers not being mama's boys, standing up for their women!
Drama In This Circle!

Did not care for ending? Hope we don't have to wait long for sequel.
"Waiting for More"
Yes, just in case I missed something before the sequel comes.
The characters and relationships were real life.
"I've gotta know what happens next!!"
I literally wanted to ride longer in the car just to know what happened next.
Since I live in TX the locations were real to me, and the characters, too.
Loved this- can't wait for part 2!
Loved the all..
except for Grandville...
"Wrapped around the finger"
Got it good.
I would say the villain, Gradsville. He was a shovenistic pig who had me laughing with his thoughts and actions. Reminds me of people I come across sometimes.
This is the first performance I've heard from Nicole Small. I've heard Cary Hite's before. This one really allowed a listener to hear how multi talented he is.
Gradsville, b/c he was never wrong, in his eyes, no matter what he did or how stupid he acted.
Nicole Small and Cary Hite really gave this story life. Without a doubt they were the ones who got me into reading and listening to Mary B Morrison's work. Already love Cary Hites's performances, I plan to check out more of Nicole Small's.
