Divide and Conquer: Cut & Run Series, Book 4

I feel like these guys are family and I just want to shake 'em and say.... "Get it together!" But their's is a very believable relationship of two men who come from worlds where homophobic standards are imposed. I do have to say that despite that, the end of this one is just out of left field. We need a resolution!

When are you going to add the other books to this series, I would love to listen.

Top of the cut and run series. Their relationship is growing and becoming more than just a wanted desire, it's a living breathing need.

I haven't listened to many like Divide and Conquer. But for emotional pulls and twists i have enjoyed 'Love means courage' many times.

I love the way Sean performs, only i find i can sometimes link a voice in one book to another book, not that it detracts for me. I have bought books simply because he has read them.

God yes. If I could have I would, how ever I did listen to it over two evening shifts and loved every single minute.

More please, bring on Armed and Dangerous

The authors need a copy editor although this isn't terrible. The narrator frequently comes across as more deadpan than the story warrants (although, thank heavens, he also doesn't act out the heavy breathing) and he doesn't leave space where there is obviously a change in scene, leaving me going back to find out what I may have missed. He does a good job of differing the voices, though; the listener is always clear which character is speaking; and I really like the narrator's voice.

I've read all of the Cut and Run series, listened to two of them (currently there are four in the series), and like them all. The characters are people; they come across each with their own flaws and issues without the authors reaching for the cheap sympathy card (and I am grateful for it). These two are people I am glad to share the world with, although they are not of 'my' world.

Great literature it is not, and if erotica offends you, this is not the listen for you. In most cases, the sex adds to the information about the characters and their relationship. Occasionally, it is just fun. And, darn it, I just like the characters.

I happen to love this book. It???s my favorite in the series so far. Personally, Sean Crisden had his work cut out for him being the narrator of a novel that I've loved reading in print. I know every line in this book, know all the jokes and all the emotional scenes, and I've had a mental impression of what these scenes sound like. Sean Crisden doesn't always get it right, but he gets it right when it counts. It must be said that I'm not impressed by his reading of the first quarter of the book. For whatever reason his tone seemed monotonous and frustratingly, his inflections were off. He seemed to emphasize random words in sentences instead of the correct words. Also the voice he chose to use for Nick O was so irritating it borders on being the worst voice I've ever heard assigned to a character. However, his reading of Ty and Zane, and the supporting characters in general, were very well done as usual. The most important scene in the book (you know which one!) was read with a combination of strength and vulnerability, for which Crisden deserves the highest kudos. It may not be Crisden's best, but it's certainly a lovely effort. This is for the most part due to the story that was written. There's no getting enough of Ty and Zane. Urban and Roux makes falling in love breathtaking and sexy, hard to come to terms with, sometimes even painful to bear, and achingly difficult to endure alone. Therein lies the reason why this series is so popular. Although I intensely dislike Cameron as a character in Warrior's Cross, I have every faith in Roux succeeding in her new solo role for the crossover sequel. I will likely buy the next book in the series, Armed and Dangerous, provided Sean Crisden (or someone as talented) continues to read.

OMG!!! Ty stole this book. I mean stole it completely...From the melt down about the truck burning to the super caring way the protected Zane. I just loved Ty in this book. I felt so sorry for Zane however...poor guy. O and then the dinner.. OMG! There were just soo many perfect and funny moment in this book, then Crash! The End! WHAT!!! OMG!!! Did I hear that correctly??? OMG!!! Please let there be another book.... I am in tears right now... Seriously... Seriously!!! Like I said.. Poor Poor Zane...!!!

This is a buy if you have the rest, this is a buy if you don't.

Narration was awesome.. I mean it was Crisden of course.

The series keeps improving with every book. The characterization, in particular, was very well done with the two main protagonists (and even secondary characters) being fully fleshed out. I also like when the characters behave logically (well logically for them!).

I just love these books and reading about Ty and Zane's growing relationship is fabulous!

Hard to pick between the 2, but I do like the stoic Zane

Yes, not usually my favourite, but he did very well here and in Fish and Chips

Please add the rest of the books to Audible... although I have the whole series, it is always good to walk while listening to them banter.

I loved the interactions between Ty and Zane! Its great to see in every book how far their relationship has progressed. Its so typical guy. I like that we have two strong gay males instead of the typical macho/twink combo in a lot of mm books. The mystery/plot is an afterthought to me because its Ty and Zane that I'm interested in. Although this isnt blatant erotica, there is still plenty of hot, hot sex!

When are the next books going to audio? I really can't wait for Armed and Dangerous. It love reading but hearing the characters outloud is fun

I would absolutely recommend this to a friend, as you are able to immerse yourself in the characters from the very start. The plot is good, the characters are flawed and vulnerable, while demonstrating that they can be strong when they need to be.

Zane is my favorite character because despite his addictive personality and all the baggage he carries with him, he remains devoted to Ty and loves him regardless of what happens. He approaches things analytically and maintains a calmer demeanor, for the most part, than his partner.

Zane remains my favorite and Sean Crisden is perfect to read this series; I did not like the reader of the first two at all!

It would be Zane because I believe there is so much more to him than we've seen so far; especially where his family is concerned. I think his demons are just as scary as Ty's.
