"...a very long sales pitch!"
This is a very long, 44 hour, sales pitch promoting his Australian based "academy," "seminar," or "home course." Also, it is very hard to differentiate Napolean's words from his twists and interpretations.
"Won't finish listening to this book"
I was excited, as I think these are a collection of classics. I was totally dissapointed. Somehow, in my download, part one started halfway through the book. I never did find the beginning of "Think & Grow Rich". The narrator spoke waaay toooo faast! Listening to this series, one would think the narrator was paying for studio time by the second and spoke as fast as he could. Way too hard to listen to. Too bad, it was a great idea and one that should have been a great collection to my library. My advice, don't waste your money, look for another narrator.
"All around bad"
I will try to buy a different version of think and grow rich
Jamie McIntyre tries to teach people ways to get rich quick. As a Dave Ramsey follower, I truly believe that these get rich quick schemes not only area quick way to financial ruin, but also a way to end relationships. Instead of looking for get rich quick schemes, offer not only long term wealth building advice, but also suggestions of plans used that helped people in various financial ruin situations. Stories from the individuals themselves of how they bounced back would be great. If you wish to cut ties with your relationships for profit gain, buy this version!
The reader spoke way too fast, and the chapters skipped mid-chapter. Worst audiobook version I purchased.
Anger. The idea of asking for your parent's inheritance early is an example. My stepfather and mother are currently in a position where they have to work until their last days instead of enjoying the fruits of their hard work for the very reason of his kids asking for inheritances early. Do not put that on your parents. Money or financial gain is not worth the misery of others. Whatever situation you are in, the storm will pass. There is light at the end of the tunnel. Put your faith in God, and don't give up. You will reach the goal to financial freedom if you follow a plan.
I want my money back on this book.
"Narrator Ruins The Experience... At Least For Me."
Narrator
No. Narrator butchers so many words I keep shutting the thing off rather than hear more.
No
Not really the type of material that would translate well.
Every school child learns about Copernicus, and can probably render the name better than CupperNIKus. When he refers to a speech impressing those assembled at a dinner, the people are not 'diners' but are 'dinners'.... Or perhaps it was the food that was impressed and not the people at all.
The latest mangling has me not listening for a couple of days now. In explaining the birth of Islam the narrator says that Arab children were sent into the desert where they were raised by.... prepare for it..... 'Bodines'. Bo-deens. Now I don't know why the kinfolk of Jethro from the Beverley Hillbillies took it upon themselves to move to the deserts of the Middle East to raise Arab kids, but I'm pretty sure the Bedouins don't like the practice.
Now I remember why I stopped listening last year.... I'd like to glean what information I can from this book (or books I think) but the wholesale slaughter of language is really harshing my mellow, man.....
"Horrible narrator"
Don't buy this package. The narrator is the worst. Horrid. I say that in hopes he reads this and stops tormenting us. The information must be useful but not when read by someone so inept. He can't spit out the words fast enough and that's alot faster than you can digest what is said. Don't buy this. If you want the material, get it in another form or by another narrator.
"Worth every penny"
Love this book. Jamie McIntyre puts things into context for 2011. It doesnt drag on and the other books included have valuable information. I highly recommend it for people who not for just those who want to master wealth, but people who want to master their emotions, health and well being. Its on you to make yourself happy, healthy and wealthy. That is my mantra from now on...
"Great Stuff!"
I will listen to this once a year! I do not agree with the other review that said it's a very long info-mercial. I found it to be solid and filled with great principles. Of course, Napoleon Hill's material is the highlight.
My Opinion's for your review, Thank You!
"Mega Audio Pack, "Think and Grow Rich""
WOW! what a lot of information to process. This audio pack has a lot of in formation 44 plus hours of positively valuable information. The information is meant for an Australian audience but wow how relevant it also is for anyone interested in becoming a Millionaire or already is a millionaire. This collection of books is priceless. Even though I'm an American the perspective an Australian is different and refreshing. Some of the books are long on information and can be hard to follow as you remind yourself some of this information is outdated but still relevant in its own way (laws change everyday). I'm really enjoying MEGA PACK of information, now all I have to do is act on it.
"So So"
I wasnt impressed with the "Think and Grow Rich" book. With all the hype that sorrounds this book you would think it was the best business and sales book since sliced bread, it's not all that and is mostly a bunch of pchyco-babble and i didnt find anything really useful in the real world as far as running a business goes
