"Yet another profound and powerful tool in the Robbins arsenal of self-awareness. It has been an enormous source of strength and insight for me both personally and professionally." (Peter Guber, former Chairman and CEO, Sony Pictures)
"Anthony Robbins is the 'ultimate coach' for that special breed of men and women who will never settle for less than they can be." (Pat Riley, NBA "Coach of the Decade")
"Not worth it"
I was expecting so much more. It was such a let down. I went out and bought the book afterwards to see if it lost something as an audio book, it certainly did. The 90 minutes didn't do it justice.
"Bring clarity and strategy to your life!"
Anthony Robbins is the authority on "Life Mastery". I recently bought the newly revised copy of Awaken the Giant Within which made me hesitant to buy this audiobook.
But Anthony cuts through all the extra, unneeded content within the audio book and gets straight to the point. I still have the hard copy for reference which is great.
I highly recommend this book for someone who wants to be able to formulate and articulate the things they do in life an why they do them. Anthony gives unbelievable strategy for accomplishing everything you could ever want.
"NO ONE DOES IT BETTER"
On those endless TV infomercials, Tony Robbins comes across as an insincere, hyperactive pitchman who's main goal appears to be separating losers from from their hard-earned cash. The really astonishing truth, however, is that Robbins is not only legitimate, but a source of insights and techniques that work better than those of ANY other motivational or spiritual guru whose work I've encountered. I had a difficult time at first overcoming Robbins' high-intensity speaking style. But once I began stopping the tape to respond to his questions and actually applying his techniques (a combination of Neuro-Associative Conditioning and goal-setting wisdom), my life went through a major transformation. I continue to return to his work when my emotional muscles need strengthening and am always surprised at the solidity of the "science" behind what he does. This particular abridgment is concise and powerful and worth its low price many times over.
"Smoke Signals"
The first 18 minutes of this program was Tony introducing himself and being very vauge on what he can do for you in this audio.
Here's the entire program, in summary:
1. Decide what you want.
2. Take Action to go get it.
3. Notice what works and what doesn't.
4. If it doesn't work, try something else.
WOW! Brilliant! Thanks, Tony!!
The most helpful "take-away" I got from this audio was how you can get RICH by re-purposing old content from other programs and selling it as a separate program. The rest of this audio program is bits and pieces of his other programs re-purposed, and mashed together.
BOOORRRINGG!
"Tony Robbins is a master"
This is an excellent listen. Tony Robbins is not only a motivational speaker, but he is also a psychologist that helps you attain the mindset of a highly successful person. While listening to these tapes, I felt like I had a secret insight into the many luminaries of our society--Bill Gates, Steve Jobs, Oprah Winfrey, among others--and what kind of thought processes and stamina they possessed in order to acheive all that they have.
I feel that I can become a highly successful person now too, with some practice. The only limitations that exist are those that I set for myself.
"An early Robbins work"
This audio was really helpful for me. There are some nice motivational phrases, however doing the exercises will get you the most benefit.
I've heard that since this book Robbins has changed his style, preferring to focus completely on your motivation toward a goal, rather than in this book he also leverages your need to be motivated away from a situation - such as poverty, or neglect.
In his more recent works you might find his style has evolved with the research he's done on motivation and goals?
“There is no friend as loyal as a book.” ― Ernest Hemingway
"Not that good to be honest."
Not, bad. But not so good either. To be honest, I was sort of dissapointed. It was an abriged audio so it was not very organized.
"Anthony at his best"
This audiobook is short and swet. Tony gets straight to the point with helpfull tips and an outline for changing your behaviors. I think there should be more of his boks on audible.
"His methods work!"
I used these methods 10 years ago to quit smoking.
I'm glad I could get "Awaken the Giant Within" on my ipod!
