An audio book loving Aucklander.
"Oh Boring...."
"I gape at him"..."Oh Christian"...
"Oh my 50 shades" . Save me now. I grew so tired of hearing the same lines repeated over and over, so I gave up on it. Poorly written. Why is this so popular? Don't waste your precious credit on it.
"Utter rubbish"
More about the story of the two people rather than their very boring sex life. I feel stupid for buying it, really stupid. I loved hearing about Christian's lifestyle but that's about it.
Someone who doesn't say "oh my!" every third sentence in that revolting accent.
Annoyance
The first book I managed to read, this one I just couldn't bear.
"Riviting 2nd Installment"
The story continues from where Ana has left her beloved Christian, these are two modern day lovers just one is Fifty Shades ........ ed. It has everything one wants in a book, it's exciting, funny and well yes lots of sex very erotic sex, but it is also a love story with all the twists of one. It will make you cry and laugh and want more, you fall in love with both characters and well it's only fair that I say that men like Christian Grey are only make believe in books. You want to follow their journey and see where it takes them, just wait till the final book Fifty Shades Freed, it's a ripper. All I will say is laters baby......
"Torn"
I found this really difficult to rate - it does get you in - but its the classic girls meets screwed up millionaire. The plot is weak and predictable - you think that there is going to be some drama some suspense but it fizzles out.
Focused way too much on having sex every five minutes - but with more in the story line even that could have been forgiven.
Its pretty much Mills and Boon on steroids. If you want an easy listen that wont keep you awake at night this is it. Oh and just a tiny bit of day dreaming about being with Mr Grey and his money lol
"Boring..."
Absolute bore. I've wasted a credit :( should've gotten Jodi Picoult's My Sister's Keeper instead! It's a torture from all those repetitive sentences and words. OH MY...
"Fifty Shades Darker"
Becca's narration was superb.
She does different voices for the characters. I dont think you could find a better person to do this job.
Yes
No.
"Awful and then some more awful"
I bought book two because I thought it couldn't possibly get worse than the first one - and Wow.
I am now more certain than ever that I will need to have left my brain outside in the rain for a fortnight, for me to ever be stupid enough to allow book three to become part of my library.
Even the sex scenes became so tedious that I regularly hit fast forward to get back to the story - to see if there actually was a story! This book was so utterly dismal that it sucked in every possible way. I found myself feeling thoroughly gob smacked and embarrassed for E.L. James.
"Another way to get a fix of fifty"
This is the book, where they fall in love and is my favourite out of all three of them
I bought this on audio as I have already read the trilogy five times and wanted to hear it read to me just to get another 'fix' of the Grey's
"Is the best way to get throw a book"
This is the first book's I have read for years as I'm not that great at reading I have got the books as well but audio has been the best thing I'v found in years you can get right in ti the book and the lovely girl that reads the book is so great at making you feel you are there. So thank you to you for getting me in to books
"Twenty shades lighter"
I found book 1 of the trilogy pretty 'dark', and way too 'S&M', and aren't sure why I persevered to book 2. I enjoyed book 2 much more (but realized that the first book 'set the scene'), and with the development of the 'plot', got really engrossed in the story line. Very much enjoyed it, and so on to book 3.
