"A Staggering Disappointment"
You know, you listen to five books, to the adventures, the twists and the turns and sometimes you just want to scream at the author at the sixth. I could not have believed that Scott would finish in such a poor, unenlightened, uninspired way. I am heartsick with disappointment. If that is not enough, the ending just doesn’t hold with the universe that Scott himself created begging numerous questions and leaving unforgivable gaffs. Just too bad!
"An epic conclusion."
This book was simply amazing and a very stunning conclusion to a series that I found myself addicted to since the first book. I find myself rather melancholy at knowing that this is the last book in the series, but I was pleased with the way it ended.
Many questions had been raised throughout the series, and all of them were answered in this last book. I was not disappointed in the way this book ended at all. I could see myself listening to this series again.
One of my favorite things about this book though was the character development. Throughout the other books, I had always wondered just what would become of some characters. I was shocked several times by the way some characters developed, though it was never a bad shock. All in all, this book was very much worth the money I spent, and the time I took to listen to it. I had a very hard time putting this one down. I was entirely riveted.
I drive an average of 350 miles a week. Without an audio book playing I would go bonkers.
"It's over? Yay!!"
This series started off strong and then ran out of gas two books ago. A creative ending to an average series.
"Interesting cast of characters/juvenile prose"
I just finished the series. I had to keep reminding myself that this book is written for teens. The characters are fun to put together (Prometheus and Shakespeare for example).
The whole time loop concept is problematic for any writer and has never been done well by any of them. After all a story is based on the assumption of causation and once you break that assumption it is difficult to care about what happens to a character. If they die in one time line and live is another then why struggle over past events?
The main problem in this book is prose. I thought I might be sick if I heard one more repetition of someone drawing a "deep shuddering breath". all characters are constantly a a point of nervous collapse. The exaggerated emotional state of the characters forced me to keep repeating to myself that this book is written for the adolescent personality. I think the author should give the young reader more credit and apply a bit more subtlety.
My wife and I eventually finished the book only because we had read the others and wanted to see how things worked out.
If I had it to do over again I would not have started this series.
I am a person that tries and get through 1 book a week if possible. I am Dyslexic so this is really the only way I can get through a book. I have listened to more book in a year than I read my first 20 years of my life. I found the joy of audio books in the early 2000 and have been a audible customer since 2000 or 2001. I have over 490 books in 2 different accounts and listened to 90%.
"Nice way to finish out the series"
Yes all audio version are better than the print unles you get somone that is not great at reading the stores to capture your attention
Closes out the series and solves a lot of mystries you may of had.
Bill the Kid
When the twins realized what needed to be done to save the world
"a journey that lasts a little to long."
It was a great story in all, it was a little redundant , but great over all. The ending could have been a little better in my opinion .
SOMETHING! Sorry it was funny when I typed it.
"Great Ending"
I would say every audio version is better than reading... Dyslexia sucks
The twins and billy the kidd
Yes very good voice and enjoyed every bit.
I would yes.
This was a very good ending to this series, I hope the Author will bring in some of the other players into their own adventures.
"Decent ending to the series"
Interesting twist at the end made for a decent end to the series. Parts of the book dragged and it seemed like the same words and phrases were used continuously making it feel monotonous at times.
No. The series started off really good, but I began to lose interest toward the end.
No
No
"Disappointing close"
I am really disappointed in the last volume of this series. I barely finished it. Sad, too, because I had enjoyed the previous volumes. The plot just breaks down.
"1-1-1 book in 6"
Good story, but beware that you have to buy all 6 books to get one story. None are complete books on their own.
