In Come a Little Bit Closer, the new book in Bella Andre's New York Times and USA Today best-selling series about the Sullivan family, movie star Smith Sullivan can't afford any distractions. He's staking his entire reputation on his new film...but he can't stop thinking about Valentina Landon and the fire he sees smoldering just beneath the surface.
Valentina isn't averse to sensual pleasure, or even to the idea of finding true love, but as a Hollywood business manager she's watched too many smart women fall for actors...only to be torn apart when the fairytale comes to its inevitable end.
But when intense weeks together on set turn their heated attraction into red-hot flames of passion, Smith knows he has to find a way to convince Valentina to let him get a little bit closer. Close enough to completely steal her heart...the way she's stolen his from the start.
The first 6 books in the Sullivan series are also available: The Look of Love (Chase), From This Moment On (Marcus, Can't Help Falling in Love (Gabe), I Only Have Eyes For You (Sophie), If You Were Mine (Zach), and Let Me Be the One (Ryan).

"I am so glad I found this series and if you haven't read Andre yet, you are seriously missing out! Andre will make you laugh, turn you on with her incredibly seductive heroes and of course, make you fall in love with each book! Definitely an auto-buy author for me!" (Under the Covers Book Reviews)
"Each book is so remarkable and you really come to love the characters. This series is incredible. It's one of my favorites. If you haven't started them yet, you are missing out!" (Guilty Pleasures Book Reviews)
"I am in love with the Sullivans. Each novel in the companion series is unique, just like the siblings. However, there is one thing that all of the novels have in common: THEY ARE ALL AMAZING!" (Reading, Eating & Dreaming Book Reviews)
"So sensual"
amazing book, I listen to it while training in the gym. gives me that energy boost, with all the emotions in the story, the weights feel lighter in the gym.
"A truly beautiful love story."
Bella Andre has the magic touch with this series. So touching, and so well written! I can't wait to hear Lori's story.
"So Sexy Smith"
Strong,sexy, and tender
smith, strong and sexy, and still very tender. Gifts every day!
Her male voice is ok, but her female voice get a bit mushy/breathy or it could be the dialogue. I like the stories, and just put up with her voice. She does a spot on Aussie voice that is great. Maybe she should read these stories in that voice so doesn't get so breathy sounding. It is way too much
when the movie hero, brings baby booties to the film heroine
very clever of the author to make a movie with our hero...I was waiting for Smith's and Ryan's story and I think the Author really got into the swing of better writing in these two stories. Enjoy
"Love this narrator, Love this family!"
Come a Little Bit Closer is the 7th book in The Sullivans series by Bella Andre. Anyone that follows my reviews knows I absolutely love this series and this book did not disappoint. I listen to this story in audio format and really enjoy Eva Kaminsky's interpretation of this family.
Valentina Landon has spent her life protecting her sister. It came naturally to her as a child and has carried over into their adult life. Their mother was around, but always seemed to be looking for love in every movie star that she could find. Therefore, her girls weren't always a priority. Now, that her sister is a movie star Val is always there to protect her and help out in any way. Good thing she is immune to movie stars or she could find herself swept away by these handsome, superficial co-stars. She's found herself on the set of the new Smith Sullivan movie and is prepared to behave the way she does on every set - professional, friendly, yet distant. That is until Smith takes an interest in her and she finds herself unable to fight the spark. Could Smith really be different than the rest?
Smith Sullivan is the movie star of the family. Yet, he's so much more. He has never let fame and stardom get in the way of his values and upbringing, even though it pulls at him every chance he gets. Now, he's trying his hand at directing his very own movie and his reputation is resting on it. So, why is it that Valentina is on his mind more often than this movie? She is so different than any other woman he has ever met and she doesn't like movie stars. Can he convince her that he is interested in more than a partner for the length of the movie and that putting up with his very public life is worth it all?
Who would've guessed that Smith Sullivan is the mushy one of all the Sullivans? His romantic side was so sweet. Poor Valentina didn't stand a chance. Valentina was strong, yet not bitchy. I loved how she loved and protected her sister, but never resented her. Thank you Ms. Andre for yet another great Sullivan story.
I love witty, fast-paced books that keep you turning the page.
"A little cheesy but still great"
This is another great addition to the Sullivan series as we follow Smith Sullivan's journey to find true love. It has Bella Andre's characteristic upbeat feel that will make you smile as well as steam up your glasses. The underlying plot of a woman who doesn't want to get involved with an actor, is strong enough to carry the story, but there are several spots in the book where the dialog is just cheesy enough to warrant an eye roll. That said you can't help but fall in love with the characters and wish your family was as perfectly imperfect as the Sullivans. Eva Kaminsky continues to do a good job as narrator, though I do wish she would try some other technique for a male voice than to lower it to a whisper. I find that running the story on 1.25x speed is just right for not changing the inflections, but keeping things moving along. If you want an author who is nearly as funny and can create interesting characters like Nora Roberts, but with 3x the steam, Bella Andre is a sure bet.
"Book for the very young"
This book would be great for a young girl or young adult woman who with a lot of unrealistic romantic ideas. They would love it and it has a lot of sex. It is not written for someone who likes a good, well-thought-out romantic novel. I skipped several chapters and finally just gave up . It was wasting my time.
Tell us about yourself!
"Pretty Uneventful"
Not every sibling can be as adorable as Zach so I guess we have to be forgiving in some ways but this was my least favorite of the series. Pretty uneventful, totally predictable and way too much narration. I do look forward to Lori's story which I hope will be out soon.
"TOO MUCH NARRATION"
YES, this book is narrated way too much. The story does not flow . . . too much he felt this, she said that, the rest of the books let the story tell it much better. I found myself saying just let him tell her, but instead it was . . . "he wanted to say this".
Not surprising
Yes, always does
Go back to telling your story and stop telling us so much about the feelings under the story.
"Smith deserved so much better"
I have listened to all of the Sullivan novels and I was really excited to see what was in store for Smith. His character has only been hinted at in previous books, and I was very interested to find out more. As in most Sullivan books, the Sullivan chases and the other runs, but I just could not find anything likeable about Val. Why would Smith even be interested in her? I didn't even finish the book. At about 75% through, I didn't care if they got together or not.
"Worth the listen"
I have listen to each book at least twice. This on once may be enough.
It was different than the others. I liked that it continued the other sibling stories.
Most interesting is mother may found love.
Least interesting the confusing parellel story of the movie. Women to submissive she or he should of been more dominant. A lot of fooling around stolen kiss etc.
I must admit I liked the relationship in the movie they were creating and thought that would make a great book with a young pregnant poor lady and a billionaire.
Not as high as the others but good.
