Publisher's Summary

Elijah Reynolds is the most dominant of lycans, a rare alpha whose skill on the hunt is surpassed only by his primal sexuality. When the lycans revolt due to the iron fist of angelic rule, he steps into command, becoming both enemy and coveted ally in the conflict between vampires and angels.

Vashti is the second most powerful vampire in the world, a lethal beauty who has left a path of devastation in her wake. Tasked with proposing an alliance between vampires and the lycans who killed her mate, Vash approaches Elijah, whose need to avenge a friend demands Vash’s death even as his passion demands her surrender.

Soon their enmity erodes beneath an all-consuming desire. Elijah has never encountered a woman whose warrior spirit and fierce sexual appetite rival his own, while Vash is faced with the one man strong enough to be her equal. But as war looms, they must decide where their loyalties lie - with their own kind or with the enemy lover they can no longer live without.

"AN ANGELIC GREAT ADDITION FOR P/R FANS"

Ahhhhh Elijah (ex bodyguard and sexy Alpha leader of the Lycans) falls for Vashti (second in command of the vamps) and a sizzling hot romance follows but some people aren't happy about it - including themselves.

Not a stand alone listen as it's 2 of a trilogy and the base story has already been set in book 1. SD continues her exciting paranormal world of the Renegade Angels with this story which has all the usual great characters we've already met and some new interesting ones as the story continues to unfold a bit more as we come closer to finding out the who, what and why's. Beware, it does contain a bit more sex scenes and swearing but it's also action packed, riveting and passionate.

Worth a credit? Yes, but for $7.34 I'd just buy it. Not long to wait until the conclusion in book 3 A Taste of Seduction which is released in February and it's Syre's story (leader of the Vampires).

    "Wow, Hotter than He**"

This book will scorch you. This book is super hot and has a great story line with all the hot romance. Hotter than the first one. Those Lycans sure can get down.
Really! I like it better if the same narrator does a complete series, but really, pick one of the 2 and keep that ONE for the rest of these. This narrator isnt bad, its just my brain just heard the first book and then had to get used to a new voice for all my fav characters.
This book is so worth the price (actually very low price) and I highly recommend this book and series to everyone that loves a hot romance read that consumes the listener. Had to do this one in 2 nights, but it sure could be a one day or night read. Wow.

I've always been a avid reader so now I'm a avid listener. I prefer the paranormal genre but I do like to switch things up. It's boring if you don't have variety. Of course I do love the romance and the hotter the better. Also, you can't beat a good thriller filled with suspense and a ending you can't even guess at until the very end.

"Mm mm Lycan & Vampire Love"

The second book in the series and it’s just as yummy!! In my opinion there’s not much better than a sexy Lycan male and Elijah is just the perfect example of that. He meets his match in the sexy and super tough vampire Vashti.

This is so worth your credit but the purchase price is so good I just got it and saved my credit. If you like this genre you’ll love this. Just make sure you get book 1 first.

    "Became one of my favorites"
Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

Yes, I love the characters and the story

Who was your favorite character and why?

In the fist book loved Adrian and Lindsey but Vasti and Elijah became my second and I love how sylvia brought together both series marked and renegade, by bringing eve in

What about Rachel Vivette’s performance did you like?

    I like it

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

I loved when Lindsey went to Elijah. And when Vasti ran from Elijah and he shifted to chase her.

    Any additional comments?

Can't wait for the next one

    "Just Couldn't..."

Being a Sylvia Day- Crossfire fan, I suppose I was expecting too much. This book did not deliver anything for me. I listened to 3 chapters and turned it off.

After reading J.R. Ward, paranormal writers must really produce something spectacular as well as smart. This book was neither. The narrator did a nice job, but other than that, save your credits for her next Crossfire installment.

    "LOVING THIS SERIES!"

I listened to this one before the first entry in the series, and didn't get all of the back story--you don't absolutely need it but, knowing what happens before to bring Vashti (lead female) and Elijah (lead male) together is helpful but not necessary. The narrator kind of threw me for a loop when the book began but I grew accustomed to her voice and ultimately liked her strange voice characterizations, it was little overacted but, I've heard much worse. All that said, this book was totally steamy, a great love story! Not to mention it was like the rawest animalistic sex I'd heard from Sylvia Day so far--and I loved every minute of it! ;-) Elijah is an awesome alpha and i loved how he was drawn to Vashti and her to him. There are a lot of moving parts to this series, especially after listening to the first book (A touch of Crimson) and realizing that at the end of A Hunger So Wild, that things are just getting started. There's much more to be seen from this series and I can't wait for book 3!

    "5 Stars All Around!!!!"

I am so sad that this book just came to an end. It is significantly better than the first book in the series, and I am so glad that I decided to give it a try because I was not impressed with book 1.

Everything about this book was great. The storyline, the humor, the tenderness, the compassion, and finally the narration! Rachel Vivette did an amazing job. Her characters all sounded different. She had emotion in her voice. The men actually sounded like men. They were a few times I had to replay a part to make sure I hadn't lost my mind. Even more so than that, she completely got Vashti's snarky comments spot on.

As far as the story goes, I really enjoyed the relationship between Vashti and Elijah. They have officially become my favorite lycan/vamp couple lol. It was just epic. I even liked the way Adrian and Lindsey were portrayed in this book as well.

I could not be more impressed. The only thing that saddens me is the length of it and the fact that I have to wait for the next segment. I have high hopes they will keep Rachel on as narrator and hope Sylvia comes with an amazing story.

Needless to say...I highly recommend this!

"When hot meets hotter-SD fan must have!"

This book two is a very entertaining and spicy listen. We have strong characters and the best delivery of dialog. Im sad it wasn't longer. This is a audio you will listen to more then once. Makes me very excited for the next book in this series. I love Sylvia Days writing and am now a super fan of the narrator Rachel Vivette.

The men in this series are no nonsense and will blow your mind. Our male alpha in this book is clear and honest with what he wants, our female vampire is like "can this man be real?" OH YES HE CAN!

    "Great story"
What made the experience of listening to A Hunger So Wild the most enjoyable?

Great characters, good storyline. As always, I love Sylvia Day's vocabulary--always something to learn.

What other book might you compare A Hunger So Wild to and why?

    A Caress of Wings

Would you be willing to try another one of Rachel Vivette’s performances?

No, she overread the parts. Very unnatural sounding at times. Very odd intonation.

If you were to make a film of this book, what would be the tag line be?

I'll get back to you on that...
