Great Blunders in History: Kashmir

Misses a lot of fine print about the dispute which makes this program a rather shallow introduction to the problem. Makes no mention of Sheikh Abdullah and related history and needlesly focusses on the Maharaja who was only a minor player in the problem. Sheikh Abdulla, the Kashmiri leader, played most important role in this integration of the state with India. This program does not mention his role.

Shallow, redundant and unnecessarily convoluted, jumped around from one point to another, then back to the beginning again. And the announcer at the "break" kept saying "Great Wonders in History" rather than blunders... fortunately it didn't cost much.

This seems to be merely the audio track from an episode from the History Channel, complete with breaks for commercials and repeated summaries. It doesn't make for a good listen.
As for the content, in order to conform to the series title they needed to transform a complex situation into a simple blunder, as though everything would have turned out all right in Kashmir if only Mountbatten had been more decisive. In place of information they use silly dramatic gimmicks and repetition.
I'd go for Mark Tully's India if you want a short short of Indian history.
