"Sir Arthur Conan Doyle would be proud"
Never mind the garbage pumped out by Hollywood with Basil Rathbone and the like! Aside from the BBC-Granada TV versions this is the best rendition of ole' Sherlock around!

"Classic Holmes"
What great fun for a Sherlock Holmes fan! 12 fully dramatized stories done for the BBC starring Sir John Geilgud as Holmes and Sir Ralph Richardson as Watson. Even Orson Welles starred as Moriarty. I enjoyed every minute of it. Done in the classic radio play style with music and sound effects.

"You'll hit replay over and over again!"
I loved how John Gielgud and Ralph Richardson equally portrayed the characters of Sir Sherlock Holmes and Doctor Watson to a "T"!!! Perfect pairing and both complemented each other. Truly believable and I was quite happy with their performance. You'll want to keep listening to this over and over again.

Sir John Geilgud and Sir Ralph Richardson do a great job as Sherlock Holmes and Dr. Watson. They are my favorite voice actors of these two great literary characters

"Great to share with the whole family"
What did you love best about Sherlock Holmes?I loved the Sherlock Holmes stories as a kid and they are just as delightful to share with my kids. The reading is engaging, the accents are authentic. Sometimes it's nice to be able to listen to a whole short story rather than just a chapter of a longer story. My kids want to listen to these stories over again with their friends which is a great endorsement.

Stories were good. The music transitions were obnoxious - distracting, loud, repetitive and took away from the audio experience.

What was one of the most memorable moments of Sherlock Holmes?Listening to Sherlock Holmes and Dr. Watson interact...its comical. I also love the language of that time..most refreshing and funny.
What about the narrators’s performance did you like?He was fine.
Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?Absolutely!
