Renowned storyteller Gaelen Foley unfurls the seductive tale of the rakish Lord Alec Knight, who never looked for love - until it was right in front of him....
Lord Alec Knight, the most daring and handsome rogue in all of London, is a smooth-talking aristocrat with an abundance of high-society lady admirers. With his irresistible wit, lucky hand at the gaming tables, and enticing charisma, he can have any woman he wants. But when the only girl he would have considered marrying ties the knot with someone else, Alec realizes he doesn't want to be with just any lady - he wants to find the love of his life.
The boldly spirited, beautiful Miss Becky Ward takes his life by storm after he rescues her from peril. Alec soon learns that she is on the run from her cousin, the murderous Prince Mikhail Kurkov. Becky has uncovered a menacing secret about the prince - now nothing will stop him from hunting her down.
In the midst of danger, Alec and Becky find themselves deeply drawn to each other. After the two spend an all-consuming night of sin, Becky's knight in shining armor vows on his honor to protect her until the end. But before long, Alec is protecting her with more than honor - and it seems the once untamed rake of London just may have found what he has been searching for all along... true love.

"My first - but definitely not my last !!"
Alas, another handsome rake bites the dust. This was a gamble, I hadn't listened to any of GF's books before and, by the sounds of my other fellow reviewers - you're either going to love this or hate it. So, I was very pleasantly surprised that I really enjoyed it, I thought it had a good plot with likeable main characters that you routed for. It had a few sex scenes but they weren't too explicit for those of you who don't like a pinch of spice with your romance stories.
Worth my credit? Yes, I'm a happy listener and off to download another GF book.
The best way to read.
"This Book is Great!"
Loving this book. No wussy, whiny women, no overbearing men, nobody will die without the other...Thank goodness!! This book is an actual novel, you know...like a good story. I will definitely read more from G. Foley. Narrator did a great job. Could had a bit more inflection for the lead female, but otherwise the book flows and is very enjoyable and I highly recommend it.
"Worth Every Penny"
This story has everything that makes a story great. A love story that you can understand without all the extra drama, heros vs. villians and a willing to win at all cost. Truely a story that you won't forget. It was one of the best I have listened to in a long time.
"Excellent story line"
I liked this book a lot. It was very well done with a great plot. A great romance novel.
"Holds your attention!"
Holds your Attention!
I liked that this had a story line. A beginning, middle and end.
When Becky kicked butt!
"The narrator :-("
It was gutsy
The sex scenes are pretty raunchy
She had no expression or voice modulation at all. All the characters sounded like the same boring unemotional person.
It was okay, it had me wanting to stay with it
The narrator spoiled the experience
"My First Foley"
All I can say really is "bother, why aren't all the other books out in audio?"
I really enjoyed it, good story, didn't give me the irks half way through, a totally warm fuzzy story.
There is only 2 other books in the 10 book series (the Knight Brothers and Cousins) out on audio at this time and I am hoping the rest will be out SOON!
Why can't real life be like books?
"So well written and very sexy."
I was instantly drawn into this very engaging story. It has a great plot, excellent characters, gorgeous sex scenes and a perfect reader. Very well done.
"really enjoyable listen"
This is the first audio I've listened to from this author, read a book a while back. Could not stop listening as I got toward the end. Really liked this story line. Narration was so-so, not bad but not super either. Would still listen to another by this narrator. Overall really glad I got this one, will look for more from the same author.
Mother of 3, grandmother of 6, retired nurse and substance abuse counselor. Thrilled to have the time to read or listen to books again.
"enjoyable listen"
what i liked about this book was the honesty between the characters. in most of these types of books the authors seem to feel that deceptions on both sides is the way to go to keep the intrigue going and carrying the story to its end when all the truths are revealed all ways with good intent, but not in this novel and it was refreshing. i enjoyed the characters and how the story unfolded. it was a nice listen and the narrator was wonderful.
