The stories are a good balance of details and story

The stories are aimed at kids so they are in bite size chunks my kids can enjoy a whole story or part.

My daughter has used "Your Story Hour" books via cassettes for years with various children. Unfortunately, some have been ruined in the cassette players. She asked me to put them on CDs for more usability and durability. However, the conversion process using the computer is relatively straightforward, but it takes a lot of time (realtime) and requires adding the story titles. When I discovered the volumes being available on Audible at a reasonable price, I pursued using an MP3 player (SanDisk Fuse with Griffin Power Dock) as an alternative. The setup seems to work very well using my separately connected laptop speakers, but I am very disappointed in not having the story titles (individual sections/chapters) downloaded or editable for use on the MP3. The result is the display showing the number of the section (e.g., 3 of 12), but easily sequenced forward and backward. This necessitates having an external printed table of content. This is a real bummer (quoting my daughter). However, the download and upload onto the MP3 is reasonably quick. My daughter and children are very happy with the stories, although with the old cassettes. The sound quality with the MP3 is outstanding. The Digital Rights protection is very annoying since it prevents editing the titles, but the limitations of installing on various devices is not an issue with us. Otherwise, I recommend.
