This best seller tells of the young Dutch factory worker's incredible efforts to transport Bibles across closed borders - and the miraculous ways in which God provided for him every step of the way. Brother Andrew's story remains as inspiring today as it was 35 years ago, and with this new release, it will motivate a whole new generation to risk everything to follow God's call.

"Tension builds page by pagae in this remarkable true document....more thrilling than a spy story with its numerous near escapes and mounting climaxes of danger." (Los Angeles Times)
"Wonderfully inspirational book"
The story of Andrew's deep commitment to walk with God has inspired me deeply. I read the book many years ago and have been thrilled to hear this well read story again.
"Enjoyed book again - 25 years later."
I read this book over 25 years ago and had forgotten how good it was. Great reminder of how life was behind the iron curtain.

"A True Inspiration... Must-Read Classic!"
This book is both informative and inspirational. It is an amazing story of how Bibles were brought into Communist countries in the 50's and 60's, and the resilient people who lived there. It is also an amazing testament to God's ever-present care and provision. For those of you who doubt whether God is still working, still caring for people's individual daily lives, still building His Kingdom, then soak up these pages into your life. I have been inspired to listen more to God's leading and follow Him in everyday situations. It has also bolstered my heart for missions once more.
Praise God for what He did through this man's life, redeeming him from a path of destruction into a life that brought hope and God's Word to hundreds of thousands and even millions. Also what an amazing ministry that is still continuing to this day. It still speaks after all these years. This is a must-read.
Along with this, I also recommend "The Heavenly Man" by Brother Yun, "The Fourth Dimension" by Dr. Yongi Cho, "Is That You God?" by Loren Cunningham. Get inspired and follow God radically!

"Awesome!"
I first read this book in 1988 while the Iron Curtain still stood. Now 23 years later, it still amazes and inspires! Brother Andrew is one of my heroes, and a listen to this book will show why. He lives an adventure, putting his life on the line for others, while putting his trust in a Heavenly Father who alone knows if it will be worth it all. God's Smuggler not only entertains, but it motivates my faith. It will also hold up to repeated listens.

"Inspiring!"
This book was excellent! I listened to the whole thing in about 4 days. It's definitely a "page turner". I thought the narrator did a great job--when the original author does not narrate it is never perfect, but Simon Vance did a great job.
"Captivating!"
The stories that Brother Andrew had to tell kept us on the edge of our seats. They were exciting and uplifting, very easy to get into the visual of the places and people.
My favorite scene was when Brother Andrew and his friends were on a trip with very little money but had to come back with more money then they left. They mission was to preach the Word of God in the towns that they traveled to without mentioning any needs, only depending on God's providence through prayer.
I was moved when Brother Andrew mended his monkey and then sent him away.
"EXCELLENT! Blown Away By Br. Andrew's Faith!"
This is a very inspirational true story of a man's extreme faith in God. The book details many, many events where Br. Andrew put his complete faith in God and God always came through. His real life experience of living his faith in a fearless way is such an inspiration to all Christians. I was blown away by Br. Andrew's courage. His wife is an amazing example of a loving, support, faith-filled partner. The book is extremely well written and extremely well narrated. Excellent all the way around. I did not want the book to end. I highly recommend this book to any Christian who wishes to learn by other people's example how to live a more authentic Christian life.
"I can't stop talking about it!"
I loved this book. It was so challenging to see this man living by faith; knowing that God would supply all the means for His work to be accomplished. It was a good reminder for me of what Christians faced during the Cold War and why situations are they way they are there now with so few young believers. Embedded in the book was also the reminder not ever to take the Scriptures for granted. So many stories of churches and pastors behind the iron curtain who had few or no Bibles and when they received one, they cherished it. For the word of God is quick and powerful and just getting into people's hands makes a difference. A must read!

"Inspiring Story..."
of how an adventurous spirit combined with great faith served to spread the Christian message under conditions in which it could cost one his life. This book reminds us never to take our freedom of belief for granted and that when the time arrives, we must put our lives on the line to protect that which is most precious in this earthly existence.
