In one cataclysmic moment, millions around the globe disappear. Vehicles, suddenly unmanned, careen out of control. People are terror stricken as loved ones vanish before their eyes. Is this the rapture prophesied by scriptures in the Bible from ancient times? If so, what destiny and tribulations are about to befall those who remain on the Earth and are left behind?
In the midst of global chaos, airline captain Rayford Steele must search for his family, for answers, for truth. As devastating as the strange disappearances have been, the darkest days may yet lie ahead....

"Fantastic Series"
I read these several years ago and am now listening to them. They are as enthralling and thought-provoking as I remembered. Note: Audible has this series narrated by two different people. Be sure to listen to a sample before buying. I much prefer Jack Sondericker as the narrator. The other one sounds a bit computer-generated to me but it is just personal preference. I found the series to be life-changing. No, you shouldn't get your theology from novels, but they sure can make you think about your life!
"Great EBook, Recommended!"
Great Series of Books on the Rapture. I seriously recommend this series for those looking to learn more on the bible and Christs Rapture of the Church. Though its Fiction, it is very close to the book of Revelation in the bible and prophecy... ! READ IT !
I am a Christian wife and mother. I write two blogs. My somewhat theological blog is called "Just Another Clay Pot," and my Fiction/Poetry blog is called "Weightiness and Whimsy."
"Great story, terrible audio"
This review covers "Left Behind" and "Tribulation Force" as narrated by Jack Sondericker.
I am so disappointed with the audio quality of this recording. It sounds like it was recorded straight off of a cassette which had been wound tightly for a long time. The audio is full of echoes and pre-echoes from where the cassette tape had experienced bleed-through. If you listen through earphones as I do, it's extremely distracting.
Additionally, there is a ton of background noise. Furious pencil-scratching sounds, bangs and clanks...and I'm almost certain I heard a toilet flush at one point.
All of that I could have tolerated, and in fact DID tolerate through Left Behind and much of Tribulation Force.
But then Rabbi Ben-Zion became a major figure, and his badly-done "Hebrew accent" is more than I can stand. If I were Jewish, I'd be insulted. It's one thing to be unable to master an accent, but it's another to make it sound as if the person is channeling a mixture of Donald Duck and Ludwig Von Drake.
I will be returning this series for a refund, but since I love the story itself, I will try again with a different narrator.
"Left Behind Audiobook"
Not better but just as good and I've read the series three times!
Either Rayford or Buck...
That would be nice but who has that kind of time.
Would definitely recommend this series! Well read.

"Left Behind Review Book 1"
The first time I read this book, I was enchanted. I loved the story. After 5 years, I decided to download it and listen to it again. I am still just as enchanted by the story line. This book is a journey for the characters in the pages as well as yourself. What I liked about this book is how they started off with a casual faith of the everyday person and evolved it to the heart felt faith of a true believer. I think that is where many of us are today. I think that is how we can relate to the characters and why they are so likeable. You find yourself worrying about them and carrying about them. You want to know what the next step is. When you become that involved in a book and the characters...it's a good one.
"A must read"
One of the best stories I have read
The story is a real eye opener, the caracters are very believable
Rayford, his caracter is like so many men I know today.
Rabbi Ben Juda, a man that did his homework.
I read this series when it fist came out and glad to have it again. This time I won't lend them out to anyone this time around, they are keepers.
