"Staggering Among The Sentences"
What could have made this a 4 or 5-star listening experience for you?I've never "read" a book narrated by Mike Vendetti so I don't know if it was his style, or the way the words were presented to him, but listening to this book was difficult. The abrupt...cadence...that ended before sentences did...and started just as...abruptly...became frustrating.
What was the most interesting aspect of this story? The least interesting?The descriptions of the Baltimore underbelly and its crime was interesting. The needlessly flowery descriptions made me want to fast forward to the good parts.
How could the performance have been better?The performance was terrible. The only improvement would be to get another person to re-read this book.
What reaction did this book spark in you? Anger, sadness, disappointment?I was disappointed with this book. I've "read" many crime books and this was sub-par.
