After many years of developing and harnessing her language-teaching skills with The French Ecole, Alexa has now created an audio treat for people who wish to learn a new language from scratch, without any pressure, in fun, relaxed and manageable chunks.
Highlights of Lesson 21 include a poem by Jacques Prévert (1900-1977) entitled "Paroles" (which Alexa uses to conclude her section on "past participles"); correction of some of the listeners' e-mailed homework from previous weeks; and the introduction of a new topic: "reflexive verbs".

"Wonderful Series"
This is an excellent series. I have been trying to brush up on my french for years. After trying many other programs, I am finally making progress. The program is well organized, fun and informative. It goes beyond vocabulary lists and encourages conversation. It's great to find a program that teaches more than how to find the train station.
"Slow and nice"
She has a very patient and clear voice. Plus she's a native French speaker You can get the first 20 lessons from from her personal podcast site.
"Great lesson"
As with all the other lessons in Alexa Polidoro's French For Beginners series, this lesson is excellent. In this lesson, we study a short poem in detail (among other things). Alexa's approach of reading a poem or passage through once, explaining it line by line and then reading the poem/ passage a second time is an interesting and effective way to learn. I highly recommend this lesson and all the other lessons by Alexa Polidoro.
