I Only Have Eyes for You: The Sullivans, Book 4

I totally loved the story of Sophie Sullivan and Jake McCann. This is my 4th book by this author and I am glad to say it just keeps getting better and better. I have just fallen in love with this author. The male lead (Jake) is so human, just down to earth believable, sexy, and will have you fanning yourself. There is just something so sexy about a real man, and Bella Andre knows how to make you want more, more please. Don't let me forget Eva Kaminsky, she an excellent narrator. Audible please get the rest of this series. Totally awesome, everything I love in a romance (sexual tension, passion, and the happy ending). This was so worth my credit.

I have listened to all four "Sullivan" books in less than 2 weeks and I am HOOKED! The story is great and I can't wait for the rest!!!!

Sophie and Jake have each loved each other since they were children, but never let anyone, especially the other see it. Each has very strong self esteem issues and don't believe themselves worthy of the other. (It is actually a little over done.)

Author is very talented and pulls on your emotions throughout the book. Narration is great.

Contemporary steamy romance. I would recommend to anyone who enjoys this genre.

I loved Sophie and Jake. Sophie (aka “Nice”) always behaves as she should. In a family full of “stand outs” , she just wants to blend into the background. She is tired of being obedient and decides to break out of her “Nice” shell at her big brother’s wedding. I actually laughed out loud at the reaction of her 6-older brothers to her new look. Her one night of bravery has lifelong consequences when she discovers she is pregnant. Sophie and Jake discover surprising truths about each other that only make their love stronger. This was a marvelous book! I laughed, I cried, it is now one of my favorites.

I love the books, but I was quite surprised when they changed the reader on the next book. I really like the one in the first 4 books, so why switch??? The one in the 5th is fine, but I was ready to continue with the other.

This story is about one of the girls in this rambunctious clan. We get to see how Sophie spread her wings as a sexy adult woman and how her brothers deal with this.

Sophie Sullivan, the Nice side of the Naughty and Nice twin set, nicknamed by her brothers, is ready to step out of this role and be a bit naughty all on her own. She’s been in love with Jake since she was 5 years old. Her feelings are a bit more adult now, but he seems to see her as the same little girl that followed him and her brothers around. This is the wedding night of the first Sullivan to get married and she has plans to show Jake she is definitely not that little girl anymore.

Jake McCann has been a part of the Sullivan clan since he was a kid trying to outrun his lousy lot in life. He’s even been referred to as the 9th Sullivan. That’s why he has always kept his attraction to Sophie tightly controlled. He could never repay the kindness the Sullivan’s have bestowed upon him by dirtying Sophie with his past. He’s a successful business owner and has made much of his life, yet no matter how hard he tries he can’t seem to shake the poison that was his life being raised by an alcoholic father and abandoned by his nothing mother. Yet, he lost his tight control the night of Chase and Chloe’s wedding. Confronted by a barely dressed Sophie he gave in to everything he has always dreamed of. He had one amazing, earth shattering night and then slipped out at the first sign of light.

Now, she’s at his doorstep telling him that she’s pregnant and the baby is his. He deserved to know that he was going to be a father and the chance to be a dad, if it’s what he wants. He can’t believe his luck. Now, he has the excuse to stop fighting what he’s always wanted. He can be with Sophie and raise their child together. His slipping out of their bed without even a goodbye 2 months earlier finally convinced her that he doesn’t want her, however and now he has to fight for the relationship that was always offered to him freely.

This is one of my favorites of the series. Jake has never felt worthy of his friendship with the Sullivans and the success he has had with his chain of Irish pubs. He was such a confident man and had so much to be proud of, yet he struggled so much with his insecurities. It was heartbreaking at times seeing that he was his own worst enemy. But, seeing him figure it all out and step up was so nice to witness. Sophie’s strength was humbling. No one in her family saw her as anything more than the nice, easy going, librarian, but in her story she got to show so much more of who she really is. I love this kind of book when the characters step out of how everyone else sees them.

I listen to this book on audio and honestly believe that this book would be just as great as a read or a listen. Eva Kaminsky does a fabulous job with this family. You can not go wrong with this series. The Sullivans are an amazing, fun family. It’s so much fun to learn more about them as an individual as they get their own stories.

All of the Sullivan Books are narrated by Eva Kaminsky and I found her very enjoyable to listen to. This book is well written and I can't wait to start book 5. I just love this series of books.

The story between Sophie and Jake was so moving and heartwarming. I've listened to all 7 Sullivan stories now and Sophie and Jake's story is my favorite. I loved all the stories, but this one really got to me. I'm anxiously awaiting Lori's story! I noticed it's already in Kindle format, so hopefully it won't be long coming to Audible.
