"Hmmm Disappointing"
What could have made this a 4 or 5-star listening experience for you?As an autobiography, it is hard to tell what is wild fiction from the fact. There are bits that are laugh-out-loud funny, but I felt it turned vexing and turned readers off the main character by the end.
What could Dom Joly have done to make this a more enjoyable book for you?It felt rushed at the end, it skipped large sections of time, brushed over developments so you started to feel disconnected from the subject. Felt quite 'quick quick, high and mighty' in the end which, if it were meant to in an amusing way, failed to set the scene enough to let the readers in on joke. Instead, alienated and quiet turned me off wanting to support any further work.
Would you listen to another book narrated by Dom Joly?I was excited to see so many audio books available but after listening to this one, my opinion so lowered, no, I will no pay to listen to another and dont think I will look at his work in the same light again.
