Vic Savian knows what he wants when he sees it. And what he wants is his sexy neighbor, Niall Chandler. When he finds her in the hallway of their building being harassed by an aggressive suitor, Vic steps in - and finds himself greatly rewarded....
Sleeping with her gorgeous neighbor - when she didn't even know his last name - was the craziest thing Niall's ever done. Now, she can't seem to get enough of Vic, or what he stirs in her. Suddenly she's exploring uninhibited pleasures she's never known before. But when her past returns to haunt her, she and Vic are forced to venture beyond the pleasures of the flesh, and risk it all on something deeper, something found only in the heart.

"One of the best erotic romances I have ever read." (All About Romance)
bookworm
"I disliked, liked, loved & was frustrated coz....."
Firstly, I think this should be under Erotica rather than Romance because it's a hot explicit listen - so beware - if you don't like your romances coming with a 'Caution Contents are Hot' warning then look elsewhere. I didn't think I was going to like this as it starts off from chapter 1 after very briefly meeting in the hallway of their apartments followed by just one gulp of whiskey in his apartment along with very little/no conversation between the two they have passionate graphic hot sex but I felt it somehow just seemed a bit cold, clinical and implausible.
Slowly the two lovers begin to get to know each other and so does the listener finally begin to learn about the characters, their backgrounds and feelings. However, it's one of those frustrating listens that has you screaming "talk to him just tell him" - if only they would have one serious conversation as well as sex, or before or after, then all could be cleared up - but oh no.
So things go from good to great then disastrous but during this time the romance of the story finally comes out rather than just the erotica. But again, I get frustrated because she stays at his family's ranch to try to clear things up but after weeks and weeks she still hasn't done or said a thing to him. Eventually the usual hits the fan and then, after finally talking (see they should have listened to me) all is cleared up but it ends so abruptly that I felt robbed of the romance bit that just one more chapter or even an Epilogue could have given me.
Worth a credit? Yes but barely - I much prefer these types of romance stories by authors such as Lora Leigh, Maya Banks, Lorelei James to name just a few as their erotica is well done and well placed within the pages of their stories. But hey this is just my opinion - you may love it.
I really enjoy the world of books! Narration just add layers to that world... don't u think? :)
"Burn Baby!!!"
LOvedddd ITTTT! Wow... So unexpected. Great story that keep me listening from the very first chapter. I was shocked. I really wanted to know what was going on with the female lead's ex-husband...then when u find out... I was like... WHAT!!!! Then her son... WHAT... smacked in the face again. Sooo good. I love how the male lead is the Broadway playwright by day and country rancher by night/on the weekends... Another smack... This book had me all over the place... but I just could put it down... The smex was sooooo good. I was hot and cold then hot all over again... OMG! Wow... So unexpected. I TELL U! O but here is the kicker... This is like an easy listening type of story. It was like "Love Unscripted/Thoughtless/Easy", those types of books... if you have listened to the audio versions of them. That easy but intense listening. I totally loved this. Not a five star... but a goood and solid four.
Narration was absolutely great. I love it when the narrator take the time to actually change their voice dialect for each and every single character. LOVED IT!!! 2 more extra pts!!!
I've always been a avid reader so now I'm a avid listener. I prefer the paranormal genre but I do like to switch things up. It's boring if you don't have variety. Of course I do love the romance and the hotter the better. Also, you can't beat a good thriller filled with suspense and a ending you can't even guess at until the very end.
"Well, I liked it"
I have passed this one by several times because a reviewer I follow didn’t like it. Then another reviewer I follow did like it, so here I am.
Niall has suffered tragedy in her past and she does not open up about it. I actually can relate to her character because I do know someone that has that personality of being very reserved with their feelings. As far as her sexual feelings, Niall is open for everything Vic throws at her.
Vic is so hot. He is a very dominate character. I happen to love dominate men so his character is so yummy. He does have high standards and he does not forgive easily. Vic has been hurt in his past too so it doesn’t make it easy for Niall and him to have a relationship.
Of course if you’ve read previous reviews you know that this book contains explicit sexual situations. I’ve heard better scenarios, but I’ve also heard worse. In my opinion it’s a little above the middle range of sexual content.
In my opinion I’d say this one is worth a credit. I enjoyed it.

"Really enjoyable if you like fantastic hot scenes!"
The 'broken' characters and finding one another to heal their needs.
Probably Vic-hot, handsome, manly man.
I cannot chose one - my favorites were their discoveries of one another.
Yes, a terrible habit as I never get anything done!
Be aware: Graphic sex scenes and adult language
"Unexpected Surprise"
I purchased this book on a whim and it was an unexpected surprise. The story line was a bit predictable, however, Beth Kery is now on my TBR list!
She read with such emotions that it pulled me into the story. Very good narrator.
"Exceeded Expectations"
I was somewhat familiar with this author and my expectations for this book weren''t all that great. I was very pleasantly surprised. Yes it definitely was erotic, but the characters had real depth, they were dealing with difficult and tragic issues and even without the sex, the book still had a plot and meaningful characters. I almost wish the author spent more time on the background story than she did. I wanted to know how the main character resolved her issue with her parents. The narrator did a good job as well.
