Justine Hoffman has made a comfortable life for herself on the island of Friday Harbor. She is the proprietor of a successful boutique hotel, and she has the safe, predictable life she has always wanted. Growing up with her flighty, nomadic mother, Marigold, has instilled in her a deep longing for stability. But in spite of everything Justine has achieved, there is still something missing. Love. And after years of waiting and dreaming, she is willing to do whatever it takes to change her destiny.
What Justine soon discovers is that someone cast a spell on her when she was born, with the result that she will never find her soul mate. Determined to change her fate, Justine finds a way to break the enchantment, never dreaming of the dangerous complications that will follow.
And when Justine meets the mysterious Jason Black, she accidentally unleashes a storm of desire and danger that threatens everything she holds dear...because Jason has secrets of his own, and he wants more from her than fate will ever allow.

"Will the Real Lisa Kleypas Please Stand Up"
I love Lisa Kleypas books. I own about all of them, so this one would be a given. Right? Well, the "Lisa magic" is missing from this book. It has some funny lines and some tenderness, but it seems like she tried too hard to stuff too much in this book with witches, family issues (which I am not sure are resolved), a lot of food descriptions and even an attempt at a Fifty Shades scene. (Which I am not sure how I feel about this in her books).
However, I have to say this book had a cute storyline, but never felt the connection with the characters, like she has written in past books.
If you like Lisa's books I would say take the chance you might find something you like in this book.
If you are new to Lisa's work save your money and purchase one of her earlier historical romances.
"Not the Best"
I love this author, I have always ;pved this author. She has penned some of my very favorite books but this one was a disappointment. It could be that I'm not a fan of paranormal writing. Witches, spells, missing souls and coverns are not what I expect in a romance novel. There were some bondage elements in this story that I did not expect or enjoy. Everyone want to get on the 50 shades bandwagon. I haven't given up Lisa's books but will read more reviews before I buy.

"Not the best of the series..."
I have read all the books in the series, and this is my least favorite. I did not feel any chemistry between the lead characters...and they fell in love way to quickly. I thought the narrator was fine, just not the book...
Graduated college, got a job, got married, traveled, had children. Breathing air and growing hair.
"Paranormally good."
I enjoyed this book and I have to face it if LK writes it I will read or listen to it. It is a very unique perspective on a paranormal story. I love the setting so much that it maybe is why I am not fussed about the Twilight Zone aspects.(cue Rod Serling). I know when this author tells a story the research that goes into the topic is almost another character.
Favorite books are Elizabeth Peter's Amelia Peabody series. I also like supernatural novels such as Laurel K. Hamilton, Patricia Briggs and Charlaine Harris. I love mysteries as well as mysteries/romance for example J.D Robb's In Death series. I will read a good contemporary or historical romance novel as well. I guess what I'm saying is I love anybook that is good enough to provide me with a well-deserved escape and entertainment.
"This Was A Waste of A Credit!"
I like all genres and was in the mood for a little romance. In the past I have read Lisa Kleypas and this book sounded good... Boy was I wrong. There is nothing interesting about this story. It is so cliche and boring and the characters are one dimensional, I couldn't relate to them on any level. I never stop reading a book in the middle but I just couldn't get through this book without torturing myself. When I came to the conclusion that I didn't care about finding out what happened to thes characters I just stopped reading. Lisa Kleypas has some decent books, but this isn't one of them.
"Great Read!!"
I don't usually listen to books twice but I would this one as there are a lot of interesting tidbits that I think you would catch the second time around!
I wouldn't
The ending was awesome!
"loved these characters"
Spell bound by the story and the characters - Sorry to see the series end --
"Too explicit"
The author went overboard on the graphic sex scenes in the last of this series. Totally different from the first three. If I had read this one first I would not have bothered with the others. It almost seemed that it was a different author.
"Okay...not my fav Kleypas book."
Yes. I love the Travis bother books! My all time favorites.
Ehh, its okay. I'm not really into witchcraft stuff and this book is has the most in the Friday Harbor series.

"Crystal Cove Friday Harbor Finale"
I liked this story. Although a bit more fanciful than the others, it did sum up the series pretty well. She did play in a couple of the recurring characters. I liked it but not as much as the others in this series. However rooted in fantasy, the tale is still classic Lisa Kleypas when it comes down to the love story. Not a heart wrenching tale, but entertaining at most. Overall, not the best from Lisa Kleypas, but a solid performance.
