"Amusing at first..."
Any additional comments?I found the first few pieces in this book amusing and occasionally laugh-out-loud funny, but the more I listened, the less I liked the book. Story after story portrays women as jealous, nagging, and generally unpleasant people while men are sad, desperate creatures who slap each other on the back every time they "score". Rich's misogyny and total reliance on sexist stereotypes wore thin very quickly. I tried listening to another piece after leaving this alone for a while, but I just can't ignore the childish view of gender relations in this book. I will not finish listening to it and I will not buy another Simon Rich title.

What did you like best about this story?A change of pace from the normal historical fiction I like to read.
Have you listened to any of Simon Rich’s other performances before? How does this one compare?Heard him on Savage podcast and thought it was an interesting premise for a book
Any additional comments?Lots of fun and I love when the author reads the book, it adds so much more personality to the book. Great book and great reader/author!!
