In "Shades of Gray" by Katie MacAlister, Noelle is a Guardian: a demon-wrangler, imp-banisher, and all-round secret protector of humans from the Otherworld. While working on the set of a ghost-busting reality show in a haunted castle, she meets a sexy vampire, and together they prevent a Master Demon from killing everyone in the castle.
In "Undead Sublet" by Molly Harper, executive chef Tess Maitland is banned from her five-star kitchen in Chicago to recover from "exhaustion". Choosing a random rental house in Half-Moon Hollow to spend time in, she's unaware that the house comes with a strange man. Even though Sam Masden's ex-wife has rented the house out from under him, the divorce settlement allows him access to it for another ninety days. With Tess unable to go anywhere else, and Sam unwilling, a war of epic proportions is declared - and romantic sparks and heavy pots fly.
Jessica Sims's "Out With a Fang" features Ruby Sommers, a lonely were-jaguar who signs up for a blind date through the paranormal dating agency Midnight Liaisons. When she arrives, she finds out that her date, a vampire, was the human she'd been in love with four years ago but was forced to dump.

"Three entertaining and amusing vampire tales."
Funny and light-hearted short paranormal romance stories that are any easy listen - preferred M.H's and R.S.'s stories but they are all a simple sweet listen and, or but, they don't contain any 'hot and heavy' bits.
Worth a credit? Mmmmm, although I would prefer a bit more 'heat' to the stories, they were very enjoyable and entertaining, so it's a YES.
I'm a relationship coach (QueenBeesCoaching), survived raising my children and have a loving relationship. Life is good!
"Skip the 1st story,2nd is fabulous,3rd satisfying"
Summary: Buy this book simply for the 2nd story written by Molly Harper.
The first book by Jessica Sims is simply ridiculous. Noelle is supposed to be a 'Guardian', meaning she can banish demons and imps, etc., etc... but the way this character is written and voiced was horrible! She sounds like this weak, tiny little fluff of a woman, completely indecisive, whining, pleading.. I literally had to force myself to listen to it. By the time the story reached its end I was glad I'd listened while cleaning house. At least something worthwhile had been accomplished!
Then the second story by Molly Harper started playing, and I was hooked, once again in the world of Half Moon Hollow. If you like good entertainment with laughter, this is the book for you. It starts off with our heroine seeing vegetables singing.. and I loved it. This story alone made the book worth my purchase. I will absolutely be listening to this story again!
The third story by Katie McAllister was pleasurable, although I did think the ending was a just a bit too neat and tidy. I always wonder about the relatives left behind, things like that. I might listen to this story again some day.
"awesome"
Very high. I adore Molly Harper!
The first story was hard to follow since there r different volumes for different characters. One character blasted out my ear drum then the next one I couldn't hear what they were saying
Absolutely
2nd & 3rd story were awesome. After the volume for the 1st story gets fixed I will relisten to it.
"Dynamic Trio... hmmm maybe"
I love Molly Harper as her stories usually have me cracking up and this one did not fail, i was at work and i had to bite my lips,"spoiler alert" especially the part where Sam, Lindy and Tess all behave like the three stooges. This was a great book especially on one of those horrible days at work. In regards to the first story .. well lets just say it needs alot of work and it left me wanting. The third story was good and nice way to end this medley.
This title is for persons who like the quirkier side of the paranormal genre, so if that describes you then this book is for you. Hope you enjoy, I certainly did, can't wait for more books from Molly
"worth it but..."
Worth the credit, but the first story is a total waste of time. Just skip it! But the second story is worth the story alone. The third story is also very good.
"Nice compliment to the "Nice Girls" series"
funny, romantic, adventure
Oh yes, it wasn't a long story but well worth the time to listen.
"Sooo disappointed!"
I usually like at least two of these authors, the other I'm not familiar with. That being said, this book was so beyond terrible I may never buy a book from any of these authors again. I only got 1/4 of the way through this book and had to stop.
The characters were ALL irritating, always either over the top condesending or mewling milk sops.
The story line has been so over used I can't believe they went with it. No thought was put into the plot at all.
The narration was as over the top as the characters.
Over all a terrible choice!
"UGH! Skip the first story."
My advice...skip the Katie MacAlister story and move on to the other two. That is, unless you're into vampire erotica, which I am NOT. I love Molly Harper's wit and will check out some of Jessica Sims now but oh my, the first book is not my taste at all!
Just skip this and purchase a full-length Molly Harper book. The Nice Girls series is wonderful.
The entire first book...Shades of Gray...I mean, really?!
"three stories two worth the time"
molly harper funny as always love the story line that pulls in others from other books love the mess of people the last story ok covered time the first story just could not make myself get into it it was not drawing.
wife, mother, hard worker... and lover of romance and wit
"3 great Authors, 3 fun stories"
3 fun stories that can be stand alone or can enhance your previous knowledge of the series they relate too.
they are in the undead (sexy vampire) genre, and are worth a second listen
