Dallas cop Gray Montgomery is on a mission: find the guy who killed his partner and bring him to justice. So far, he's found a link between the killer and Faith - and if Gray has to get close to her to catch the killer, so be it.
Faith is sweet and feminine, everything Gray wants and desires in a woman, but he suspects she's playing games. No way would she allow a man to call the shots in their relationship. Or would she?
Faith sees in Gray the strong, dominant man she needs, but he seems determined to keep her at a distance. So she takes matters into her own hands to prove to him it's no game she's playing. She's willing to surrender to the right man. Gray would like to be that man. But catching his partner's killer has to be his first priority - until Faith is threatened and Gray realizes he will do anything to protect her....

"A measure of BDSM, a flavor of suspense and a whole lot of interpersonal conflict make Banks' latest an utterly compelling story." (Romantic Times)
"I'm in LOVE with the Sweet Series!"
After starting with book 4 Sweet Temptation first since that was all that was available - I was excited to see book 1 in audio! I wanted background on the characters I feel in love with! I wanted to know if they were all as kinky and crazy!
I was so happy that that Sweet Surrender didn't disappoint. I love that Faith decides to go out there and find out what she wants… and boy does she! Great start to the series!
I have to give credit to the narrator, Caroline Wintour. She does a wonderful job. I know exactly who is "talking" when listening to her!

"A GUILTY PLEASURE"
I love Maya Bank's books they are an intense passionate and sensual journey of love overcoming all obstacles but BEWARE strong sex scenes
I'm always torn with her books as I do think they should be put under Erotica rather than Romance.
Worth a credit? Yes but if you're not into the very hot n heavy scenes they I suggest you stay away from this series.
"Love this Series."
If you are looking for some books that are like Fifty Shades of Grey this series is great. You will totally fall in love with these guys and the girls of the series. This series is not for prude, the sex scenes are graphic and all include some BDSM or menage so be warned. That said the stories are great with the right amount of steamy love scenes and story.
The whole series is great. I am going to listen to the Highlander series next.
I've always been a avid reader so now I'm a avid listener. I prefer the paranormal genre but I do like to switch things up. It's boring if you don't have variety. Of course I do love the romance and the hotter the better. Also, you can't beat a good thriller filled with suspense and a ending you can't even guess at until the very end.
"Good Listen"
Good story. Several different things going on. The love scenes are good too.
No favorite.
I don't mind explict sexual scenes. If those offend you then you may not want this book. In my opinion I would rather wait until this one is on sale and use my credit on a book I'd like better. I'm not saying it's not good because it is. I recommed credits for those you can't put down.
I LOVE READING AND LISTENING TOO BOOK S, MY FAVE AUTHORS ARE MAYAN BANKS, LORELEI JAMES , AND I JUST STARTED READING VIVIAN AREND,
"SWEET STORY WITH GREAT EROTIC PARTS"
it up there at least top 3, I love Maya Banks books and the performance doesn't sound bad.
Faith sweet and nice on the outside, naughty and sexy bedhind close doors,
Faith her sound is nice not the best but fairly good.
No but i did listen to it in about 3 days.
Busy mom who loves to read but doesn't always have the time. I enjoy YA, Romance and the occasional Best Seller.
"Spicy hot!"
BEWARE: Maya Banks books are HOT! If you are not into Erotica then this book is not for you. If you enjoy your books with spicy sex scenes and weak subplots then this is the perfect series!! Don't say I didn't warn you about this one.....it's a scorcher!
I enjoy these books because they are wildly entertaining. If I was looking for a literary classic I would go elsewhere.
My only complaint is the narrator. Caroline Wintour = Coleen Marlo. I felt duped since she is not one of my favorites. She's not bad, just not my favorite.
Otherwise this one is HOT, HOT, HOT and such a guilty pleasure.
5 stars for sex scenes
3 stars for the rest
Love to listen to historical fiction, paranormal, romance, and general fiction while commuting. Audiobooks help make the drive bearable!
"Eh...didn't do it for me"
Not really. I didn't think the characters were particularly interesting or fully fleshed out. I never really cared about what happened with Faith's mother. I was pretty bored at many points in the book, and was happy the book was fairly short.
Yes, though some of the male voices (like Mick's) were actually distracting.
No, I don't think there are any open story lines - I'm not sure that there's anything to follow up on.
Try a different Maya Banks book - this one wasn't one of her best.
"Caroline Wintour AKA Coleen Marlo"
Yes, the reader. liked the stories, and happen to hear a sample of Coleen Marlo. Yup the same reader. Not good.
Her voice for a woman just is not sexy. I listened to a Sandra Brown, Texas Sage, and I loved the story, but this reader just ruined for me. Lesson learned. These readers can change their name, but they do not seem to change their bad style enough.
if you can listen to the sample, then you are OK.
I really enjoy the world of books! Narration just add layers to that world... don't u think? :)
"I should have read this first!"
WoW! I did not expect this. I did not read this series in order. I started with Faith's brother Conner's book, Sweet Possession, and I realized from that book, each character and relationship was very unique, so I went back to get more background information.
Faith was a great character, but Gray! OMG! I loved how he was so dominate, but wasn't. He knew exactly what he wanted, but was so tempted by Faith that he was willing to lose his composure at times. Loved that. I liked his idea of B & M. He don't use safeword, because he thought is was crap.. Love that! Also, when Gray helped Faith realize that she was trying to control everything was an eye opener form himself, Faith, and the reader.
Even though I did not read this series in order, I love how I could still follow along with each book. If I would have read this book first, I would have went straight to Micha story next.
I loved how Faith was so innocent but so sneaky and devilish at times. Nice girls are alway the ones who have sneak in them. Like I said, I didn't read this series in order, so throught the other books, to hear how Faith was so not innocent from the other women, was a contradition to her innocent appearance and then to hear/read her story was really great!
"This is a GREAT series"
I don't read the book.
She found what she was look for in every way!
she is good! I close my eyes and picture it all. I can't Listen to just anyones she doesn't sound annoy & some people reading does. she does a great for each character.
