Publisher's Summary

Bodyguard Celia Graves has definitely accepted her share of weird assignments, both human and supernatural. But her newest job takes the cake. Guarding a prince from terrorists and religious fundamentalists is hard enough, but it seems like the entire supernatural world is after this guy too. When she is betrayed by those she is employed to help, and everything goes horribly wrong, Celia wakes to find herself transformed. Neither human nor vampire, Celia has become an abomination-something that should not exist-and now both human and supernatural alike want her dead. With the help of a few loyal friends-a sexy mage, a powerful werewolf, and a psychic cop-Celia does her best to stay alive. On the run from her enemies, Celia must try to discover who is behind her transformation . . . before it's too late.

    "Good start to a series!"

The cover caught my eye and I took a chance. I gotta say getting past the first couple of chapters was difficult, but then the story dragged me in and I really liked it. I can't wait to get the next in the series. The narration needed some work though! I had a hard time getting into the story in the beginning because she was rather annoying, but either I just got used to her or she got better as the story continued.

    "Blood Song"
What did you love best about Blood Song?

Seemed unpredictable, and left you with a huge cliffhanger at the end.

What other book might you compare Blood Song to and why?

Chicagoland vampires because she gets turned into a damphir(I think that's the right word) and has to figure out how to live her life after an abrupt shift in her life, which also happens in the Chicagoland vampire series.

    Any additional comments?

Definitely a interesting book, I'd recommend it.

    "Not Bad"
Would you try another book from Cat Adams and/or Arika Escalona?

The story is a 3 but has potential. I will listen to the next book in the series. The narrator seems new and might get better. Well see..

"Great Book! Not so much the narrator"
If you could sum up Blood Song in three words, what would they be?

    Great, Funny, Exciting!

What other book might you compare Blood Song to and why?

I am not sure what I would compare it to it is good all on its own.

What didn’t you like about Arika Escalona’s performance?

I don't like the way she reads it.It's almost as if she is talking in monotone. She has no inflection no difference between the characters really.I can tell she is trying but it doesnt work out very well.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Yes Unfortunatlly i couldn't but that is ok

"Boring and narrator reads to slow"

This book was boring and the narrator read way to slow for me. Did not enjoy and wish I would not have wasted my credit. Don't waste your time or money. Sorry.
