One contemporary scholar and authority on Spurgeon says of this work: "Next to Mr. Spurgeon's great literary work, The Treasury of David, we consider (these) Lectures to My Students his greatest single contribution to the Christian world. There is more practical wisdom, common sense and sage advice packed within these pages than with any other book of similar size, or content."
This complete and unabridged edition of Spurgeon's great work will make it possible for today's generation to appreciate Spurgeon's combination of discerning wit and refreshingly practical advice. Included in the twenty-eight chapters of this classic volume are lectures such as:
As were all of Spurgeon's messages to his people, each of these lectures is Scripture-saturated and Christ-honoring. They move swiftly and are fascinating in their content and sage counsel.

Hello, I am a Nurse of rhirty years, and a student of Health Care Administration. I have an afinity to listen to audiobooks. Love this site!
"One of the Greatest Pastors of his generation"
I have enjoyed listening to this book many times since I bought it. I find it very enjoyable. C.H. Spurgeon was not a formally educated man but was a lifelong student of the Christian faith once he was converted at age 19. He became a preacher who, before microphones could be heard by a crowd of 23,000 people. He actually asked his faithful to stay at home every fourth Sunday so the "unbelievers" would have a chance to hear him. I have read or studied many of the books put out this generation about this pastor that died 120 years ago.
This and many other books have been written in contemporary English as many of the words that were used in Spurgeons day and age are antiquated and not easy to understand. I highly recommend this if you like to listen to the Classic Christian Pastors such as Wesley, Jonathan Edwards, and George Whitfield.

"Timeless and priceless"
Absolutely one of the best books I've listened to.
The narration was absolutely amazing. I have never heard Charles Spurgeon speak, however Grover Gardner brings his words to life so much that I'm often tempted to think I'm listening to the author himself!!!
I often catch myself marveling at how current and relevant this is even though he lived so long ago. I would heartily recommend it to everyone considering serving in ministry.
