Publisher's Summary

In his groundbreaking Secrets of the Millionaire Mind, T. Harv Eker states: "Give me five minutes, and I can predict your financial future for the rest of your life!" Eker does this by identifying your "money and success blueprint". This blueprint determines your financial life. If your money blueprint is not set for a high level of success, you will never have a lot of money, and if somehow you do, you will most likely lose it! The good news is that now you can actually reset your money blueprint to create natural and automatic success.

In Secrets of the Millionaire Mind, you will learn how your childhood influences have shaped your financial destiny. You will also learn how to identify your own money blueprint and "revise" it to not only create success, but more importantly, to keep and continually grow it. Finally, you will be introduced to the "Wealth Files": 17 specific ways rich people think and act. These include specific action steps for you to practice in order to increase your income and accumulate wealth. It's simple, if you think like rich people think and do what rich people do, chances are you'll get rich too!

    "He's in your face . . ."

    But he acknowledges that.

I really liked this book. I'm not sure if it will help me get rich or not, time will tell, but I think it will help regardless.

One thing he says repeatedly that I agree with - whether I do get rich of not - it's up to me.

This is not a technique book, i.e., a book that says this is how you buy real estate or stocks or own a business or whatever.

What he says is that you need to program your mind to allow you to be successful in doing those types of things, or whatever vehicle it is that you choose to get rich.

One point he brings up[ continually is that he's rich, you're not, and this is the foundation he set up for himself and other rich people have set up for themselves to get rich.

The people who didn't like the book I suspect are not rich, and so have no basis to claim that what he says isn't true.

In fact much of what he said rings very true for me, in that it's more about attitude and desire rather than technique.

In fact, he claims that all the technique in the world won't help you get rich without the proper attitude towards money and making money.

Witness lottery winners who can't hold onto their money - they don't have the "rich" mindset, and most times find themselves back to the level of wealth that they had before their lottery winnings.

The book is about the Millionaire mind, not the "Techniques and strategies that made millionaires millionaires."

I highly recommend it. Even if in the end you choose not to get rich, I think there are some valuable life lessons that apply to everyday life regardless of one's aspirations.

    "Good stuff"

I bought this and I found it excellent. It's over three hours long. I'm not drinking the kool-aid, either. I'm an entrepreneur with a passion for self improvement. I grew up with parents that provided poor role models for money, great role models for love and compassion. My Dad was born in the Depression and he never got over it. My Mom never met a dollar she didn't want to spend. I've worked hard to retrain my "programming" for the last five to seven years and my financial condition has improved gradually (not dramatically, but gradually and significantly), to the point now where I'm comfortable, but not yet "wealthy". I'm looking to break through to the next level.

This guy's insight is terrific and on-target. Some of the negative reviews written here are obviously not from people who listened to anything but the promo sound clip. If they did, they would have heard more content than they alluded to in their reponses. Much more.

This guy tells it like it is. If you're prepared to hear direct truth about how poor, middle and high income people think, then buy it. The two other books that profoundly changed my life are 1) Think and Grow Rich (Napolean Hill) and 2) Cash Flow Quadrant (Part of the Rich Dad/Poor Dad series by Robert Kiyosaki). This one's my new # 3.

Some key statements in this book:
To someone who says "Money isn't important" he replies, "You're broke, aren't you? And you have been broke for a long period of time, haven't you?"
    Regarding aspiring to be "comfortable":
"You will never be rich or happy if you aspire to be comfortable. Aspire to be uncomfortable, to be in a continuous state of personal growth."

This book has given me more to change my life than anything I've experienced in a long time.

    Great stuff.

"Unique presentation covers a lot of ground"

Previous reviews seem to indicate that either you love or hate this audio book. I can see why. I believe it is hard to argue with the information he presents ... all good stuff right on target and very complete. What really sets this apart is the way it is presented and the way he tries to get it cemented into your brain. T. Harv Eker has a very unique style of presentation and teaching. Part silly, part sarcastic, part in your face, although never lacking in energy.
If you like the presentation style, I believe you will love this offering (which I did.) However it is easy to see how he could rub some people the wrong way. I wish I could think of a litmus test to tell you if you would be one that likes him or not but nothing comes to mind. So it comes down to paying your money and taking your chances. You will know very quickly in whether you will turn out happy or not. I turned out happy.

    "Weak people need not apply....."

This book reveals secrets that other financial 'how-to' books completely miss. And Eker's ability to communicate in 'everyday' language makes his message all the more profound. But make no mistake --- if you cannot tolerate new ideas, if you don't have the intelligence to grasp universal laws, if you're too weak to take accountability for the results you're getting in life, if you're too afraid to face yourself, and if you'd rather be a 'victim' your whole life instead of a bonafied 'millionaire', then this book probably is not for you. Only if you want to, you can use this book to help you finally understand why you lack money or happiness (or both) and why you self-sabotage in life. Eker will also succinctly spell out how you can change it all forever. For me, Eker's personal story, along with the thousand's he's helped to find fabulous personal and financial success, instills a feeling of exhilarating certainty that I have finally arrived at the end of my financial woes forever.

    "Inspirational actually"

Having been to more 'ra ra' seminars than you can wave a stick at, I haven't bothered for years figuring 'Just get on with it and do your best'. This is actually really refreshing stuff. Basic, down to earth and to the point. Not positive thinking, reality thinking. I recommend it. It's fun to listen to as well.

    "Dovetails with"

There's nothing super-specific in this book as it's mainly motivational. I liked it anyway. If you've read "The Secret" then this book might seem like a logical extension of some of the principles and thought patterns from the money chapter. I did not like the chanting, ritualistic "now repeat after me," phrases.
