When Elliott Cruz first courted struggling single mom Karen Ames, it was a romance worthy of any Sweet Magnolia fantasy. The sexy personal trainer made it his mission to restore Karen’s strength - physical and emotional - and to charm her children.
Now, a few years into the marriage, colliding dreams threaten to tear them apart. Elliott’s desire to finance the business opportunity of a lifetime with their hard-earned “baby money” stirs Karen’s deep-rooted financial insecurities. It’s the discovery that their brother-in-law is cheating on Elliott’s sister - and thinks it’s justified - that puts their irreconcilable differences into perspective. Will their own loving fidelity be a bond so strong they can triumph against all odds?

Lots!! Guys sounded like girls at times!!
Please, the last two narrators you had in this series were terrible!!
"sweet manolia fan"
yes, i like the setting and the friendship and romance,
i liked Adele she finally turned out to bea strong smart woman
makes the story come alive with different tones for each character
no
can't wait for the next generation of sweet magnolias
"Another great visit to Serenity!"
I love this narrator. The narrator can make or break an audiobook and this one does not use a fake southern accent. It was good to hear more about Elliott and Karen.
Elliotts family and his struggle to break away from old family traditions and expectations
All the characters are unique and real. A prior narrator made Mattie sound harsh and unapproachable. She's the character I like updates on the most.
no.
The ending was not believable. After spending the entire book on Karen's worry about money, it wasn't believable that she would go gambling in Vegas.
"Waste of Time"
Karen complained through the ENTIRE story over and over and over.
Not sure, but need something quickly to recover.
Not great.
Karen
"OK, but too much gloom and doom!"
Book 8 for the Sweet Magnolias. . . good renewal of older characters, but too much negative storylines. Francis with Altzheimers and Karen is such a winer! She really doesn't deserve Elliot. Just didn't seem to up to the joys of some of the other books. Would still read more, but hope Sherryl is happier for the next one.
