This Audiobook will take you through the basics of Spanish with Basic Bootcamp, All About, and Pronunciation lessons.
The five Basic Bootcamp lessons each center on a practical, real-life conversation. At the beginning of the lesson, we'll introduce the background of the conversation. Then, you'll hear the conversation two times: one time at natural native speed, and one time with English translation. After the conversation, you'll learn carefully selected vocabulary and key grammar concepts. Next, you'll hear the conversation one time at natural native speed. Finally, practice what you have learned with the review track. In the review track, a native speaker will say a word or phrase from the dialogue, wait three seconds, and then give you the English translation. Say the word aloud during the pause. Halfway through the review track, the order will be reversed. The English translation will be provided first, followed by a three-second pause, and then the word or phrase from the dialogue. Repeat the words and phrases you hear in the review track aloud to practice pronunciation and reinforce what you have learned.
In the fifteen All About lessons, you’ll learn all about Spanish and Spain. Our native teachers and language experts will explain everything you need to know to get started in Spanish, including how to understand the writing system, grammar, pronunciation, cultural background, tradition, society, and more -- all in a fun and educational format!
The five Pronunciation lessons take you step-by-step through the most basic skill in any language: how to pronounce words and sentences like a native speaker. You’ll go from basic concepts to advanced tips and will soon sound like you’ve been speaking Spanish your entire life.

"What you pay for"
Is there anything you would change about this book?This is a collection of podcasts. I found the back and forth banter of the two hosts valuable for some cultural background and distinctions between the various Spanish dialects but as for being a tool to learn the language this was less than helpful. However, it only cost five dollars. I reccomend Pimsleur.
Would you be willing to try another book from Innovative Language Learning? Why or why not?No. Did not meet my expectations the first time.

"Not very good"
What would have made Learn Spanish - Level 1: Introduction to Spanish, Volume 1: Lessons 1-25 better?If they had actually given me some lessons instead of giving me lots of irritating information on Spanish speaking people .
Would you ever listen to anything by Innovative Language Learning again?No
Any additional comments?I did a Pimsleur course on Beginner German and that was very easy to listen to and the lessons made sense .This course was totally unprofessional and I didn't learn a thing .

"Not good for a short trip to Spain"
What disappointed you about Learn Spanish - Level 1: Introduction to Spanish, Volume 1: Lessons 1-25?This is not a book to quickly learn basic concepts. They spend much time talking about Spanish culture, Spanish holidays and other things that may not be of much interest if you just want to make sure you have basic communication skills.

"Not worth a credit!"
What could have made this a 4 or 5-star listening experience for you?I wish they would have really focused on teaching instead of providing lots of information that I can't apply during an audio book. I just wanted the basics not the background of every word.
What was most disappointing about Innovative Language Learning’s story?I only listened to about 3 lessons because it wasn't effective.
Who would you have cast as narrator instead of John Patrick Villanueva and Fernando Olivas ?The narrators did a good job, the lessons were lacking.
