"A Narrator Nightmare"
I love Susan Mallery books but not this one. Maybe the story would have been better if the narrator wasn't so bad. The voices she tried to use for the kids in the story where just ridiculous. She even tried to do a couple of english accents (I think) but they were so bad it was hard to tell. The download was broken into 2 parts and Susan's book is only part 1 of the download. For this, I was thankful. I was so happy not to have to hear the narrator's voice I was glad it was over. The second half the story by Tanya Michaels was just as bad but this time it wasn't the narrator it was the story.Save your credits and pass on this double book.

"Ruined by the narrator!"
I sort of liked the story because of the family complexity, but it was all so predictable. I couldn't get past the narrator. She ruined it all completely. Don't let her read your books, Susan.

"Narrator was really bad"
Would you consider the audio edition of One in a Million to be better than the print version?The book was OK, but the narrator ruined it. I couldn't wait for it to be over. Her voices for the kids was like nails on a blackboard, and the one she used for Nash's boss was an insult to Long Islanders (I think that's what she was TRYING to sound like).

"Susan good, 2nd book not so..."
Would you say that listening to this book was time well-spent? Why or why not?I always enjoy Susan Mallery's book, but the second book was hard to finish. The second book story was weak, and I didn't care at all for the narrator.
I would have given the first book a 4 Star but the second book really made me wish I didn't purchase. I will make sure I don't buy a double book again.

"like a trashy romance"
I would not want my children to think this was okay to read or listen to. This is very explicit in the romance and not what I want.

"Poor narration-nearly monotone"
How did the narrator detract from the book?Too monotone, I think I would have kept the book had the voice been more interesting to listen to.

I am a huge fan of romances and happy endings. I like books that take me away from everyday life and into the land of romance, some adventure and of course happy endings.

"Glad I took a chance"
If you could sum up One in a Million in three words, what would they be?I read a lot of negative reviews on this book but I love Susan Mallery and decided to purchase it anyway. I am glad I did. The second book is not as good as the first but I found it easy to listen to and enjoyed.
What did you like best about this story?Easy listening and good characters.
Would you listen to another book narrated by Marie Ellis?Not unless I loved the author

"WoW! Those Haynes Brothers are Super"
Would you consider the audio edition of One in a Million to be better than the print version?I have not read the book but the audio was geat. I could place myself in the scenes.
What other book might you compare One in a Million to and why?I jst finished Holly and Mistletoe. I like the strong but gentle woman.
What about Marie Ellis’s performance did you like?I liked her voice, it was exspessive and strong She did a great job of bringing the reader into the story with her.
Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?It was and I did!!!!

Predictable story but it kept my interest and helped the miles go by. I like the author.
