The Kipper and the Corpse
When a guest dies in his bed, it's only the beginning of Basil's problems as he tries to hide the body and the dodgy kippers which may have led to the guest's demise.
Basil tries to cope while Sybil is in hospital, but soon everything is in chaos and a deranged Basil does the funny walk for a group of German tourists.
Quality customer service has never been one of Basil's strongpoints so, when an American guest demands the comforts of home, Basil's blood pressure reaches boiling point.

Possibly the funniest series ever!
John Cleese, Connie Booth, Prunella Scales et al.
Cleese wrote the first 6 shows with Booth (his then wife......who, by the by, is American.) The series was so popular that BBC begged for 6 more episodes. Cleese and Booth (now divorced) got together and brought us 6 more gems of comic genius.
The Major, Manuel ( who narrates the series's in letters to his Mom ), Chef......they are all here! To my surprise I found that I enjoyed the audio version more than the televised show.
If you are serious about funny, you will get the whole series post haste!
I already have these. You lucky Audible Listeners!
Comedy is defind in Fawlty Towers. The writing is superior and the casting of the characters was perfect.
John Cleese is one comic perfect !!
This is the only comedy that is very greatly enjoyed by either watching it or listening to it !!
British comedy is the best and bightest when it uses it's dry and wildly funny wit, as found in Fawlty Towers.
I know that you will come across people in your world that appear in Fawlty Towers. Have a super terrific time as you listen to Fawlty Towers ... Manuel, manuel, MANUEL !!!
While it helps to have seen the series - it is still wonderful to hear this classic British comedy again and again. Basil and the cast of characters run a small hotel in Torquay (the English Riviera as Basil descibes it) where customers and staff are the only things that spoil Basil's day.
It's difficult to find good, clean humor these days...but this is a rare exception! I have listened to all three volumes and this one is my favorite. Too, too funny! Enjoy with a nice cuppa...
It's John Connie and Man well at their best; make sure you are sitting down because you will laugh your socks off. This is not one for driving and listing too, U'll have too many tears in your eye to see.
