Publisher's summary

In this third book in the New York Times best-selling Dorothy Must Die series, new girl from Kansas Amy Gumm is caught between her home - and Oz.

My name is Amy Gumm. Tornadoes must have a thing about girls from Kansas, because - just like Dorothy - I got swept away on one, too. I landed in Oz, where Good is Wicked, Wicked is Good, and the Wicked Witches clued me in to my true calling: assassin.

The way to stop Dorothy from destroying Oz - and Kansas - is to kill her. And I'm the only one who can do it.

But I failed. Others died for my mistakes. Because of me, the portal between the worlds has been opened. And if I don't find a way to close it?

Dorothy will make sure I never get to go home again.

Now it's up to me to join the Witches, fight for Oz, save Kansas, and stop Dorothy once and for all.

Spoilers

there is no review that can be given that does not contain at least a thousand spoilers. Danielle Paige does a fantastic job of sucking us back into the world of Amy gum in the Land of Oz. However she also is a master at bringing up characters we thought were dead and knowing as a 4th book. rumor has it we're getting the fourth book, but we have to wait until next year.

Vivid and imaginative storytelling.

The great and thoughtful use of language and vocabulary by Paige paints vivid, exciting, and colorful mental imagery for the reader. Paige did a wonderful job of producing a tale just edgy enough to balance out the campy, and fantastical characters and scenery.

Another Book ??

Just when I thought it would be the end, I feel this is dragging. And what is this Gnome King? Never heard of him, but I guess since Lu Lu and Pete were okay to add to the mix, why not ?? The reader is getting much better , but I still feel the writing is kinda choppy.
