This is the Blueprint

This book literally has everything you need to know about the craft of writing fiction… it is closer to a textbook format as it is for people who are genuinely interested in learning how to be great writers. Also, for me, the narrator really brought life to the words which ultimately helped me to understand the concepts better being someone who has read the parts of the hard copy in university.

Exceptional, Practical

Narrator: Jade Joseph is an engaging and precise narrator of the the material. Having her read for all contributors creates a consistent voice for the book. And she does more than simply read each contributor's essay----she speaks in a conversational and natural manner. I so enjoyed her narration that I started searching for other programs/books that she may have narrated.

Content: The 11 chapters/essays cover the major areas that beginning writers should consider when writing fiction. Each is a good introduction and jumping off place. I also found each chapter to be inspiring by making writing fiction seem possible. Don't be fooled, the need for consistent hard work is driven home, but you do come away feeling as if you have what it takes.

Fantastic Recording

Loved this writing guide! Very interesting perspective coming from the Gotham Writers Workshop, a great listen for aspiring writers and established writers as well. I liked the narrator, there was a good balance of authority and professionalism without getting too dry.
