Publisher's summary

The fourth in the Faithful and the Fallen series from John Gwynne, an epic fantasy perfect for fans of George R. R. Martin, Brandon Sanderson, and David Gemmell.

Events are coming to a climax in the Banished Lands, as the war reaches new heights. King Nathair has taken control of the fortress at Drassil and three of the Seven Treasures are in his possession. And together with Calidus and his ally Queen Rhin, Nathair will do anything to obtain the remaining Treasures. With all seven under his command, he can open a portal to the Otherworld. Then Asroth and his demon-horde will finally break into the Banished Lands and become flesh.

Meanwhile Corban has been taken prisoner by the Jotun, warrior giants who ride their enormous bears into battle. His warband scattered, Corban must make new allies if he hopes to survive. But can he bond with competing factions of warlike giants? Somehow he must, if he's to counter the threat Nathair represents.

His life hangs in the balance - and with it, the fate of the Banished Lands.

A strong ending to a great saga!

Wrath is the very satisfying ending to my favorite saga since Joe Abercrombie’s The First Law. Gwynne is of the best writers in the genre today.

Nice Wrap Up

I will say I have not been disappointed. I think it’s just like a classic Carol story. Good guys win in the end. I do feel like some of the deaths were hurried and I don’t know slightly anti-climatic where I thought maybe he was going to go a different way with a character and they just kind of die off in the last battle without ever going a full circle

So much great writing and so much lazy writing

I loved a lot of things about this series.. but the tedious lazy writing when it came to the rivalries was just so lazy feeling and soooo convenient. Maddening. Could of been much better but it was still a very good series

Amazing and the End is satisfying!

This is such a good series. The author is one of the best writers of battle scenes that I have ever come across.
Book 4 wrapped up all loose ends and ended in a satisfying way.
I laughed and cried and was at the edge of my seat. The progression of Corban over all 4 books has been incredible. All the main characters have had amazing storylines.
This is one of the best fantasy series I have read and listened to.
