NATIONAL BESTSELLER

The North Korean defector, human rights advocate, and bestselling author of In Order to Live sounds the alarm on the culture wars, identity politics, and authoritarian tendencies tearing America apart.

After defecting from North Korea, Yeonmi Park found liberty and freedom in America. But she also found a chilling crackdown on self-expression and thought that reminded her of the brutal regime she risked her life to escape. When she spoke out about the mass political indoctrination she saw around her in the United States, Park faced censorship and even death threats.

In While Time Remains, Park highlights the dangerous hypocrisies, mob tactics, and authoritarian tendencies that speak in the name of wokeness and social justice. No one is spared in her eye-opening account, including the elites who claim to care for the poor and working classes but turn their backs on anyone who dares to think independently.

Park arrived in America eight years ago with no preconceptions, no political aims, and no partisan agenda. With urgency and unique insight, the bestselling author and human rights activist reminds us of the fragility of freedom, and what we must do to preserve it.

Miss Park is the definition of America & the American dream

As with her first book this writing had me in tears, smiling & often with a lump in my throat. Anyone that you know or related to that is a snowflake, spoiled or believe that life or anyone owes them anything needs to read this book. God Bless Miss Park for her perseverance. As an American born & raised I see it as nothing but pathetic how the woke elite are so fake & disconnected. Shame on Hilary Clinton, Jeff Bezos & the lot who only gave Miss Park lip service in her plight to end the modern day tragedy allowed to continue in North Korea. It can be stopped but only by a man with the intestinal fortitude of someone like Donald Trump! It shouldn’t take another revolution for all Americans to get back personal responsibility.

Such a wonderful insight from such a young woman. She truly deserves better from our educational institutions. Our youth deserves better and America deserves better. Highly recommended to everyone and should be required reading for our high school students

Wake-up call

This book should be read by college and high school students. The more who will avoid brainwashing and the more who will wake up, the better the chance America will be saved. And, by extension, the freedom-loving rest of the world.

Compelling and eye opening read.

Frightening and sobering but leaves you with a hopeful opportunity to make a difference for the future. Park’s story is one that should be front and center in the discussion of human rights, but is marginalized because of the implications her account has on China. A must read for anyone who cares about the future of the US.

Every person that can see our country disintegrating needs to read this.

Seeing the rapid deterioration of our constitutional freedoms by some very foolish people, I have felt sometimes very helpless to combat it.
Yeonmi Park has seen clearly what I have been feeling and spells out what is happening with great insight.
Her courage to speak out is a beacon to all that value what America is and want to save our Country, while there is still time.
I see Canada is falling quickly under Trudeau’s communist agenda with his admiration of China, and America is working hard at following the same path.
Understanding this young woman’s history can help us see our path forward more clearly out of the mess we are living with in 2023.
I am very grateful for this book and hope it will be read by all who honestly believe socialism is good. They are but the latest batch of dreamers to fall for totalitarian lures that lead to horrific dictatorships.

Shocking, liberating and TRUE

I clung to every word read within this audible. From the stories regarding N. Korea, Columbia U. & America today. My heart agreed with her assessments and my mind was shocked to find out about what is happening to people in Korea & China. Dear Author: THANK YOU for speaking to us #Warriors

Amazing life Story and Outlook

Yeonmi is a resilient human being and I am thankful for the lessons she is learned throughout life and that she is willing and able to share them with us. Her outlook on life is nothing short of phenomenal. The way she can connect her personal struggles to greater concepts is very thought provoking. It seems she has put much thought and care into how she delivers every message. The fact that people who know what happened to her and what is still happening to North Koreans will not let her speak at events is maddening and heartbreaking. I'm thankful she continues to share her story anyway she can.
I drove for the last 30min of my trip in silence after finishing this book just so I could properly reflect on all the things she wrote about. I didn't care for the narrator's voice, that's my only reason not everything was 5 stars.
