Publisher's summary

Among the rich of Paris, there are opportunities for thieves and forgers such as Vadim Bergeron, a predator who delights in destroying the reputations of true artists and the women who love them.

However, one private detective has spent years recruiting waiters and chefs to build a reliable although eclectic network of informants. Within days of an art theft, he can count on clues arriving during dinner: a note slipped under his dessert plate, an address scribbled on a receipt, a suggestion of where an object might be fenced, or the name of a potential buyer whispered in his ear along with..."Will there be anything else, Monsieur?"

Catching art thieves has become this Paris sleuth's raison d'etre, and Simon Pennington is determined Olivette Ferrier will become Vadim Bergeron's last victim.

Waiting for Paris. An interesting rich story!

'Waiting for Paris' is a rich interesting story full of twists and turns, mystery and intrigue. Peggy Kopman Owen's has once again created a world we rarely see. Based in Paris, we get a rare glimpse inside world of a detective sleuth and his unique network of contacts, operatives and techniques. Peggy does this also bringing us into the deliciously wonderful culinary world of food, drink, waiters, chefs and restaurant owners in Paris.
The narration of Sir Hugh Elliot is simply wonderful. His ability to build the world, the characters and give each personality and uniqueness through his voice is quite impressive. His use of cadence, inflection and intensity adds another layer to the story which makes this an interesting and entertaining listen.
If you get a chance e, I highly recommend you treat yourself to a listen of 'Waiting in Paris'.
