Publisher's summary

The secretary of state has been kidnapped by Islamic extremists and his only hope for survival is a reconstituted Presidential Agent team in this revival of W. E. B. Griffin's New York Times best-selling series.

Secretary of State Frank Malone has been kidnapped from his Cairo hotel - his security detail wiped out. President Natalie Cohen is left with several unacceptable options. It's time to think outside the box, and that can only mean one thing: the revival of the Presidential Agent program.

Cohen calls for Charley Castillo to come out of retirement to direct a new Presidential Agent, one Captain P. K. "Pick" McCoy, USMC. Charley may be too old to kick down doors and take names, but Killer McCoy is just the man to get the job done.

Together, they will track the kidnapped secretary from Cairo to sub-Saharan Africa. The only problem is that one man can't hope to win against an army of terrorists...good thing there are two of them.

Loved It

While I wish there was an explanation of where Charlie's family is, I di not take away from a good story with lots of action.
I am very pleased with this.

Enjoyed the transition

I was a bit concerned to learn that the Presidential Agent series had been handed over to someone else to write, however, Andrews and Wilson did an excellent job and I truest enjoyed it. I really enjoyed the linkage of a character from the The Corps Series. It caught me off guard at first until I made the connection. If you are as big of a fan of Griffin’s many series, you will really enjoy this one as well. Looking forward to the next one.

Andrews & Wilson are amazing

This is a pretty legit story. If you’re not familiar with these 2 authors, get on it. They do not disappoint.

A departure from previous books

This book brought more action and new blood to the story. However, I missed the characters of Svety, Chalrie's son, more of.his grandmother, etc.

Aside from that I still have the same complaint from all the other books... zeros and not "O"s. Since, these novels try to be steeped in military culture, it is important to realize that time is numerical. So, 9:30am is Zero Nine Thirty and NOT "O" Nine Thirty.

Nice First Installment.

I really liked where they took the storyline from. Nice nods to two of the better series WEB Griffin wrote. Looking forward to the next installment when it comes out. I hope Scott brick hangs around to perform these as well. Good writing, good product.

Nice continuation

First... Love Andrews and Wilson and read all their stuff.
Second... don't love Scott Brick and he pops up everywhere. I delayed this listen just to psyche myself up for his style. Fortunately this was not his most condescending tone, but I also couldn't always distinguish the characters and had to back up a couple times.
Third... When did Charlie get old? Wasn't he in his Twenties when the series started? Am I mistaken? Or was this just a case of RAS (rapid age syndrome... think soap operas) for storyline purposes?
