What an incredible gem this book is
a fantastic tribute to the Blackbuck operation and to the hundreds of aircrew, engineers, technicians and logisticians that made the endeavour the triumph it was

WOW!
If you are a fan of aviation and air power, military history, or even just a good story - this is a wonderful book! I knew the story behind the Black Buck raids, but not like this. The real, intimate, intricate story told in careful detail brings you along for the long 8,000 mile flight, with all the ups and downs, and puts you right in the back of the mighty Vulcan, along for one hell of a ride. Absolutely wonderful!

I wanted to like it
It just drones on and on, it was a great piece of history but the detailed description of every moment of the refueling mission bored me to death
