Publisher's summary

A Seeker with one desire. A Goddess who safeguards an ancient curse. Sometimes even love cannot save a dark soul.

Vassago is a Seeker haunted by his dark soul, making him dangerous and mysterious to everyone around him - except Lore. Lore is a goddess who wards an ancient curse. She and Vassago have shared a connection for centuries, but he has always chosen his oaths to the Circles above all else, especially her.

Hope Annandale barely managed to survive the Circles, only to end up back at Shadowbrook - alone and afraid - with no memory of the Circles, or Stone. With Hope safe, Stone can take his rightful place by his father’s side, as Prince Stolas.

Torn between duty and love, Vassago and Stone will be forced to decide where their loyalties lie, and what they will fight for - love or honor. It will take an ancient curse, and a vow that can’t easily be broken, to prevent a war - a battle for revenge and redemption that will ultimately decide the fate of the dark souls’ hearts.

In this second book of the Dark Souls series, fate curses the brothers, and they must navigate ancient deceits and potent forewarnings to save the ones they love. Can the two enemies become each other’s saviors? Or will the Circles fall and love fade?

Vassago is the second novel in the Dark Soul series and is a riveting tale of passion, danger, and forbidden love. Intended for mature listeners 18 years of age and older due to language, violence, sexual situations, and dark themes.

Pretty good but too many POV's.

I didn't like the POV's from Vassago or Lore, at all!! But I couldn't really skip them because there was a lot of interaction with Hope and Stone mixed in as well. I mean really, they were vicious and down right mean people to everyone but Stone but especially they hated Hope so why do I give a rat's a** about hearing what they think?! I don't. Anyway, leaves on a huge cliffhanger and had I known that I would have waited for the 3rd book to be out before I started this series. The narrators were really good but the one for Stone was a bit irritating at times and got on my nerves because he literally was yelling and sounded just so angry. It was uncomfortable to listen to him when he did that.

This narration was phenomenal!

Vassago's story line and narration were absolutely perfect!♥️ These characters have to endure so much at the hands of Lucifer. And that ending hit me even harder listening to this beautiful narration.

Vassago bk 2

Hope Annandale struggles to hold onto her sanity. Plagued by hallucination and visions, she struggles to understand what's real and what's an illusion so she checks herself into a posh mental facility.

Vassago is a Seeker and half brother to Stolas, not that their father will let either of them forget it. Vassago is a dark soul, cynical and dangerous to everyone except Lore. Lore is a goddess who has shared an unsanctioned romantic connection for centuries. He can never choose Lore over his birthright or his father will see him weaker than the half breed he is and punish Lore for it.

Vassago and Stolas need to understand where their loyalties lie, and what is worth fighting for - love, honor or death and who saves who?

Vassago is the second book in the dark duet that makes you wonder who the good guys are - angels or demons?

Hmmm

It's probably just me, but I had a difficult time following everything in this one. Also, not a fan of POV changes in a story when the main characters' story isn't finished =/ Anyway, what I did catch was good.
