So far, misleading
First, it feels like 2 authors. The title suggests it’s for lay people, but the first chapter I found myself dusting off all my old anatomy as the vagus nerve path is traced through the body using medical terms. Then, it switches to 5th grade level, and is one big advertisement for an implanted device. The author repeats himself ad nauseam. Occasionally, some post-grad writing will appear and you have to switch gears. I have only listened to about 10 chapters but i am getting ready to ask for my money back.
The book description makes it sound like you will have tools you can use at home with no equipment, but really, this guy wants everyone to have this implanted device, which I am sure helps some people.
Also, the narrator has an accent that was hard for me to follow. By the time i had translated a word, three more sentences had gone by.
