Publisher's summary

Chelsea is smart, funny, gorgeous, and the best friend I’ve ever had. Ever since she left, I’ve been a wreck. I’ve been focused on keeping my family’s MMA gym afloat while I train and coach fighters, anything to not miss her more. But now she's finally back, along with her grumpy, possessive cat, and things are weird between us.

By weird, I mean I can’t stop thinking about her in that way. She’s in the room next door, and it takes all my control not to storm in there, sweep her up, and bring her back to my bed. Even stranger, I’m pretty sure she’d be into it.

And this time, I’m not going to stop fighting until we’re more.

Cute but not great

The story was a little slow but still cute. I wanted to ignore other reviews of the female narrator but dang, it was distracting. For me, it was more about the cadence of the reading. It was extra slow and a bit choppy.

Okay

I loved the story as a follow up from the first but the female voice was so irritating. I wanted to stop after the first chapter but wanted to know how Liam and Chelsea end up

Female narration wasn’t good

Nice story, a bit dragged out but enjoyed it. Teddy Hamilton was amazing as always. Female narration was really difficult to get through…

Loved the story

I was super excited to listen to this book I’m pretty much Teddy Hamilton’s number one fan I love anything read by him unfortunately the female narrator was not good at all it sound like she was in full braces with head gear it was painful listening to her I would just speed up her parts and slow down Teddy’s that seem to work the story was phenomenal though I really loved the characters in the book and I love an mma / boxing /fighting (all the same category to me) love stories it’s my second favorite sport to read about and I also loved the best friends to lovers just sooo good!!!

Spit it out already

Book is pretty good, I think. I'm on Chapter 5 and not sure if I can finish. Thankfully this book was on Kindle Unlimited so I'm not out any money. The male narrator was great. The story is good. The female narrator makes me want to rip my ears off. Not sure if she has a retainer or Invisalign but there is something so distracting with her narration that I cannot stand listening to her. Her diction is so slow and unnecessarily drawn out that I want to scream. The first book in the series was good. Maybe I will just read this one when I get the time and skip the audible narration. This one is worse than nails on a chalkboard for me.

Narration was painful

The story was great but I gritted my teeth when the female narrator was lisping the words. Please, take the retainer out or wait for the braces to come off.
Otherwise…first half of the book was painfully slow but I hate not finishing a book so I listened to the end. Cute story with a happy ending.

Meow!!

There really was a kitty cat in this story. I liked the story but I didn't love it because of the female narrator.

Liam was an MMF fighter running his dad's MMA gym.
He also had a brother that was a fighter and a sister who was an artist who helped out at the gym.
Liam was trying to keep things afloat at the gym and his former neighbor Chelsea who he really liked/loved moved and returned due to work.
There was the mom who left which had an impact on them of course. And their father was gruff at times.

Teddy Hamilton was the reason I really liked this book and gave it 4 stars. He was all sexy, funny, alpha and he narrated his parts just wonderfully. There's a part where he had to brush the cats teeth that cracked me up. Teddy could have narrated this book by himself because he's that good and the female narrator wasn't.

If you like Teddy and have to skip the female narration, it's worth a credit. There's so many good female narrators he could have been paired with to make this more enjoyable for me. But of course Liam and Chelsea get their HEA.

Good Story

The story was good, but I can't stand they female narrator. I will never choose another book narrated by her. I can't even explain what is wrong with her, but she was painful to listen to. I don't understand how she would ever be chosen to narrate.
