Great listen

My heart broke for Hans as he dealt with the hard topics of the church. He is clearly a man of great integrity who desperately wanted to hold on to his religion despite the truths he found out. I value the way he told the truth without being hateful or trying to justify/make light of the bad things he learned. As a woman who converted to the church and married a man who was raised in the church, I could see parallels in our experience with my husband's faith crisis and the experience of Birgitta and Hans. This was a great listen. A book I will likely come back to over and over again.

Healing and Authentic

This was an excellent book discussing faith struggle along with life experiences. This is an excellent source for those questioning faith in the system they were raised in and gives hope that not all is lost when faith is lost.

Honorable people choosing truth

I like the way it is in chronological form about his life. He and his wife’s courage to stand up for truth. I like the way it is written in third party.

A light in the dark

Hans, Bridgette, and other in this book are heros. It took so much courage and integrity to do what they did. I am so grateful for this book.

Thanks

Great book. Very helpful to those struggling with the LDS church. There is so much happiness outside of the church. It just takes time.
