As a backpacker, you will want to experience the culture, the best the countries have to offer you, to travel lightly, buy cheap stuff, and live life to the fullest in this big world. But traveling can be a hassle when you don't know what you're doing. Have more fun, and be more confident as a traveler by being prepared. These tips will help you along the way. They are great reminders, helpful ideas, and things you may not have thought about.

this book has very little to do with backpacking. It is simply a list of common sense tips for traveling abroad. if you plan to travel around the world maybe 10 out of the hundred tips will be useful for you. many of the tips that are not common sense need further explanation.
I would listen to 100 Backpacking Tips again, immediately before going on my next trip.
The narrator is a very experienced backpacker who has traveled through a wide range of environments. He frequently refers to his own experiences while explaining the tips.
My favourite tip was "waterproof your shoes." There are several tips about taking care of your feet - probably neglected by the average backpacker, yet they do more walking than other travellers. And I really liked "take some spices in tic tac boxes" - a simple tip that I hadn't thought of before.
It's very clearly explained, always friendly and sometimes amusing.
