classic willeford!

you either like willeford's novels, or you don't. interesting story about an unlikable protagonist and you have no idea how its going to end up, but you're eager to get there. Great listen.

Interesting structure to a noir

Very good “aimless anti-hero finds redemptive creative outlet but constantly torpedoes himself.” Willeford is excellent & I think his Burnt Orange Heresy is an overlooked masterpiece. This one is very creatively structured & reflects the illusioned point of view the protagonist is striving to reveal to others. Wish Audible could get all the “Ws” as well as Willeford: Charles Williams; P J Wolfson; Cornell Woolrich.
